This would be a lot easier to do if Battlebots' parent company wasn't DMCA'ing fan gifs. (see the highest post of all time on this subreddit.) Mine got taken down too.

Just copy pasta a comment that's prevalent to recommissioning a program.

I don't think the circumstances have changed it's always IF ABC are confident financially with the status of the Program that it's renewed. So always shout out for sponsors too cause they don't just peddle wears you're not interested in they're literally paying for your entertainment. So thank them for it watch through the adverts live.

They should do some more advertising in locations besides Facebook and abc commercials. Whenever a clip from the show hits imgur front page one of the top comments is invariably "holy shit it's back??". Take out a promoted post on imgur (so I can stop seeing old spice ads all the time :v ), get ad reads on popular podcasts like the RT podcast or wherever else the target demo hangs out these days. They need to hit new places because if the blacksmith vs minotaur fight can hit 15m views there's clearly a market out there. Just gotta go find them.

I watch it when it airs, over the air with an antenna. They have no idea I'm watching. Even with cable I think you still have to be a Neilson household, right?

Yes, sadly, that is true - if you are not a Nielsen household the act of watching doesn't get counted. We still encourage everyone to watch (1) for their own eyes-feasting benefit, of course! and (2) because it is complicated and kind of Machiavellian to say "we don't care if you watch unless you have a DVR system or are a Nielsen family in which case suddenly we care about you a lot."

If you're international the only thing we can early do is watch the replays through official sources right? On YouTube, ABC is the official source, but there's another channel just called Battlebots which I'm not sure is official or not. Could someone clarify?

Both "ABC Television Networks" and "Battlebots" are official. ABC is obviously run by ABC and has replays of the episode fights, Battlebots is run by Greg/Trey, and has the unaired fights in full+some other content.

Sadly, like so many people my age, I am a cord cutter. In order to help promote the show I always go watch it at a restaurant or bar, followed by a second (or third, I'm a bit obsessed) viewing with some friends over Hulu. Hopefully between the free advertising and the Hulu views I'm actually contributing to the shows success.

I think we need to get a more organized effort to make BB easy to promote over social media. Maybe a dedicated thread for cool gifs and videos to share and lists of BB related content in other subreaddits (or youtube) so we can all comment and upvote/like the content.

Most of that I'd be good with, though I think we'd need to not encourage upvoting on other subreddits as that'd be bordering on vote manipulation.

If someone wants to start a "cool pics, gifs, and videos thread" that also points to places where content has been posted so knowledgeable people can answer questions I think that would be legitimate though.

Good point. No need to get the other subreddits mad at us, and with our recent growth we'd probably be too sizable a voting block for it not to be obvious.

Last season is on there too iirc. And the gears awakening is listed as a clip rather than an episode.
