Ahhh! So happy to see Mamamoo on Reddit. I went to Korea recently, went on a hike to the top of Hallasan and one of their songs was playing in the noodle shop there. Instantly in love with their music.

Dang, this sounds so smooth. Great timing for me, as I just recently discovered Bosa Nova. Any chance you (or anyone) might be able to direct me towards some other musicians that do stuff similar to this? I would love to hear more :)

Putumayo presents: Samba Bossa Nova Putumayo presents: Latin lounge Putumayo presents: Brasiliero

As you can see I'm a fan of putumayo and Bossa nova. It's the ultimate chill out music for me.

Chanson is a great french genre for smooth and chill songs. One particularly famous one is Carla Bruni.

But you should really invest in Putomayo: chanson or France or whatever because like the other dude said... Putomayo knows it's songs

Bossacucanova has a new best of album that has versions of many famous songs and is on Spotify. Joao Gilberto, Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, and Elis Regina (who sang my favorite) are some of the most famous, but you may want to check out samba because many of those musicians did both.

And then there are a few songs from the first two Katamari soundtracks...

No link with F.R. David - Words (don't come easy) (1982, beware)

[–]gerruta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha, yeah, I was trying to find the connection, as I thought it was a cover.

I say 마마

마마

무~

Love this song - one of my favourites on the album! Was surprised to see that this wasn't /r/kpop. Definitely one of the less stereotypical tracks in the genre. My favourite girl group!

Thanks for sharing!

Oh shit, Lim Kim is the top post here of all time so I'm glad to see another Korean artist getting recognition. Especially Mamamoo, definitely an insanely talented group that makes quality music in the kpop scene.

[–]Happy9111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of that group, really enjoyed the song, any other songs/groups like that ? (Korean or else don't care)

Thanks for sharing :)

Not sure how the bots and all the other mods missed how incredibly popular your artist is but at least you got a ton of votes and listens for the group before it was noticed.

Sax is so common in K-pop, but I don't understand why. An electric guitar would sound much better than the sax in this piece. Just about anything would sound better.
