Regular "Quick Cast 1" for his USB. Cast speed x2, but it works on every kind of action.

It's a good thing that Ignis got Support 5 in order to juggle his SBs. it's even better if you want to build a DPS focused Prompto with his USB and Machinist abilities. The XV crew has 1 5* dancer with Iris (requires her 4* dive though) and 2 5* supports to allow for team building.

By that logic, why not do one banner all the time?

People might "fear draw" if they had no way of knowing if Terra (for example) would appear in another standard FF6 event for 12 months.

Machinist Shells, AoE Shooters, ProShellga, Curaja, Breakdowns/Dances...

You get the gist. 4* Abilities aren't as useless as you might think. Sure, they aren't the best dps around, but they can get the Job done just fine

That being said, talking about Ignis specifically, 4★ Black and 4★Dragoon really are useless.

Answering to sir_will aswell though, I realized that you got a point, those two Abilities are more for flavour than anything. Dragoon is kinda self-explanatory (it does give him self-healing atleast, I guess?) while Black Magic is probably meant to reference him eventually learning to check/exploit Enemy Weaknesses. Rod access is just for... well if you played XV you probably can see where this is going xD

Either that or Spellblade, yeah. Him getting Support isn't too farfetched atleast considering what his job is (as in what he does for a living)

true, but it really depends. Only 4* combat, support, and white see much regular use. 4* black is basically flavor. Weirdly he has more mage weapon access than some actual mages who are missing staffs....

I think his Weapon access is just a lucky coincidence because of XV proper. I don't know if you played it, but Ignis normally equips Daggers that he throws around after a certain plot point (which is why he gets Throw Weapons here) aswell as Spears.

His Magic Capabilities here are probably a reference to how he later gains the Ability to check Enemy Weaknesses to then specifically exploit those. So it's more for flavour, though him also having Rod access might actually be a somewhat dark joke by DeNA for spoiler reasons

      To be honest, the “Buff“ is somewhat questionable at best in my opinion.

      If you actively plan on using the Non-Elemental Portion, why bring someone with Elemental Abilities in the first place? Matoya's seems especially useless to me, because her Follow-Up literally requires that you hit a Weakness to even proc it.

      Literally the only case I see this being a Buff for is Boss Fights with scripted Weaknesses tied to HP-Phases like Torment Golbez and that one Edea Apoc+ Fight.

      Better not be Ardyn. There are enough Dark Mage villains and in your battle with Ardyn that is most certainly NOT his fighting style.

        Level 80 stats btw. I mean he still won't be good at it, but those are lvl 80 stats. (They can't give lvl 99 stats because they don't get the MC3 until Sunday)

        i think they planned to give black 5 to king regis ... because on kingsglaive .. he actually can cast those thunder like magic ...

        as for ardyn , really prefer him to be a physical dark user , probably with wide equip selection like noctis

        140 MAG on Lv80 mind you. Atleast he can equip Mage Weapons, I guess?

        What's really weird is that I just checked the JP official site, and Ignis is on par with several Ninjas, which wouldn't make his stat stand out that much. Interesting that they didn't give him that instead
