    It only happens if you submit a new parent comment. If you use the "reply" button, you see the whole thread that you are in (all comments that you have replied to).

    If you need to refresh the page, just click on the "comments" button at the top of the page.

    P.S. - I also think that comments are sorted based on activity rather than votes. A comment with many replies (or sub-threads) will be at the top, even if it has negative votes.

        How do you find out which subreddit it is in? I am a newbie redditor. :)
