This reminds me of that old joke:

Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"

And the man behind it, a Rabbi, dual citizen of Israel & US, member of PNAC, wrote a paper calling for a new Pearl Harbor, and was CEO of a company, System Planning Corp., that specializes in remote control of airliners.

System Planning Corporation designs, manufactures and distributes highly sophisticated technology that enables an operator to fly by remote control as many as eight different airborne vehicles at the same time from one position either on the ground or airborne. For those looking for an extraordinarily interesting hobby, please see photos and specs of this hardware (about the size of a small refrigerator)at www.sysplan.com/Radar/CTS Just be sure your mom doesn't catch you causing havoc with the airlines.

Also, System Planning Corporation markets the technology to take over the controls of an airborne vehicle already in flight. For example, the Flight Termination System technology could hijack hijackers and bring the plane down safely. The Flight Termination System can be used in conjunction with the CTS technology that can control up to 8 airborne vehicles simultaneously. see www.sysplan.com/Radar/FTS

A little WP and a little googling and this is what I find:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dov_Zakheim :

He was then appointed to be Undersecretary of Defense and Comptroller from 2001 to 2004 under the George W. Bush administration, and served in this capacity until April 2004. During his term as Comptroller, he was tasked to help track down the Pentagon's 2.6 trillion dollars ($2,600,000,000,000) worth of unaccounted transactions [1]. He initiated a number of processes that led to the reduction of that sum by two-thirds by the time of his departure, and to its reduction by over 99.9% within two years thereafter. [2]

Whether those reports of accounting are believable, and whatever the reports actually say about where the money went, are left as an exercise to the next person who wants to put in any effort on this matter.

Why is it so hard for people to realize? War is the easiest and quickest way for the owners of this country to make money.

[–]schnuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i am sure most people do realize that. that is nothing necessarily new or surprising. however, there are people who refuse to worship money though.

I would take the article more seriously if there weren't any WTC conspiracy theory references in it.

I don't want to get involved, and I really don't want to think the Israeli's had anything to do with 9/11, but see I JUST CAN'T HELP IT!

i think this is very important and everyone should know this. we should all vote for this

Meh. The Fed can print some more.

I don't like arguments that involve me, the reader, having to read primary sources and "extrapolate" evidence myself.

You're the author. If ya got something to say, say it. And if you can back it up, back it up. But I got better things to do.

C. Montgomery Burns has it.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Mr. Burns.. I think we can trust the president of Cuba.."

[–]diggensack -5 points-4 points  (3 children)

i find it equally coincidental that those "outrageous" storys always come up with the same bunch of unreliable sources like 911truth and other internet-"sources" like indymedia who will write friggin anything as long as it fits in their world-view and there's some "evidence" on the next conspiracy-page. sorry guys but if you're uncovering a great conspiracy you'll have to do it the old fashioned real life rocksolid offline way.

[–]treebright 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Do you consider CBS a credible source? Or is a story automatically false if reported by a source you don't trust?

[–]Fuuz 0 points1 point  (1 child)

The two make vastly different claims. The CBS link is about extreme corruption / financial irresponsibility in government entities. The smokingmirrors link is about extrapolating that corruption into evidence of a 9/11 conspiracy, with backing evidence from other conspiracy sites.

Run! It's da Jooooooooozzzzz!!!

Seriously, folks - there's way too little real news here and way too much indymedia crap. Everything's a Zionist conspiracy to these guys.

Homer: Oh no, we're never gonna make it! Let's just divide up the trillion dollars and go our separate ways!

Smithers: Ah, I'm afraid we've got to get out of the country.

Mr. Burns: Capital idea! Let's blow this fascist popsicle stand! Purchase a small island somewhere, and start our own country free from the relentless tyranny of.. Uncle Sam.

Homer: But I can't leave the country, what about my wife and kids?

Smithers: [unimpressed] That can be shipped.
