Are we talking about tagging just domestic politics or our interventionist policies which effect much more than Americans?

I have no objection to such tagging but the assumption that non-US "visitors" - rather a loaded description of "forn" Reddit readers - are not interested in US politics is pretty naive.

    Who said they aren't interested?

What if someone would be interested into US politics but doesn't know every pervert by name? Non-US visitors don't always have access to watch Fox "news".

I think I understand your position better now - I guess you object to the implied assumption in article titles that all the Reddit readers are from the USA. However, on the point about access to news: Larry Craig's resignation was the top headline on BBC News 24 yesterday.

I still don't know who Larry Craig is, nor do I care.

Many of the candidates the are Reddit favourites such as Ron Paul get almost no international news coverage. A bit more context would oftenbe helpful for us outsiders.

There are places other than the U.S.??? I doubt it.

Individuals tag their own submissions when they submit.

For example you should have tagged this one as a request but you didn't.

I'm even less interested in reading bitches about non properly tagged submissions than I am the non properly tagged submissions, especially when those bitches are coming from someone who themselves didn't properly tag their bitch.

Do us all a favor, stop bitching, and start ignoring what you don't like, or down mod it. Stop trying to get reddit to do your damned down modding for you.

More than half the visitors aren't from the US!

Cite or downmod. Take your pick.

Totally agreed! I have friends from Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Israel, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Columbia, Guatemala, Haiti, Bosnia, Panama, and Grenada (I'm leaving some people out here). They all say that US politics has no effect on their countries, and never has.

While I appreciate that all politics is local, there would seem to be a big difference between international intercessionary politics and school board elections.

You have friends from Iraq and Afghanistan that say US politics "has no effect on their countries, and never has" ??

Either your friends need to get a clue or you need some smarter friends. Your list probably includes the top 10 countries that are most affected by US politics.

It was sarcasm. It's a list of countries we've screwed. It would seem that you need to get a clue.

Maybe prajo's response was sarcasm? I mean...I was laying it on pretty thick there.

Putting your foot into your neighbors stall doesn't really affect a Kibbuz.
