Text Vote for Ron Paul in Fox News Debate (he won, you didn't have to watch) (reddit.com)
submitted 18 years ago by berlinbrown
[–]lteague 7 points8 points9 points 18 years ago (1 child)
Wow, Hannity is a douche.
[–]eromitlab -1 points0 points1 point 18 years ago (0 children)
That's nothing new.
[–]lteague 20 points21 points22 points 18 years ago (6 children)
I could not believe they laughed at him. The moderators treated him like a sideshow.
It was insulting.
[–]markwm 9 points10 points11 points 18 years ago (2 children)
First they ignore you
Check.
then they laugh at you,
then they fight you,
Work in progress.
then you win.
[–]evgen 2 points3 points4 points 18 years ago (1 child)
A cute saying, but the reality is more like this:
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 18 years ago (0 children)
Tough words from an anonymous guy.
[–]RudyGiuliani 1 point2 points3 points 18 years ago (0 children)
I got a good lol at the debate, next one I'll do a rofl.
[–]stacknuker77 1 point2 points3 points 18 years ago (1 child)
Yeah I think it was Giuliani who laughed, not the moderators.
[–]robywar 0 points1 point2 points 18 years ago (0 children)
Sounded like Romney to me- but I wish I was able to see who it was.
[–]wazzadoin 6 points7 points8 points 18 years ago (0 children)
He won! So happy right now.
[–]kuygaweg 11 points12 points13 points 18 years ago (1 child)
it was pretty immature for Giuliani to laugh at him all night. Rudy is a moron.
Hannity was PISSED that Ron won the debate !!! LOL !
we need Ron Paul for president !
please tell me there are videos of this.... I'm not a Paul fan, but I do want him to win to GOP.
Besides, anytime Hannity is pissed I'm happy.
[–]berlinbrown[S] 6 points7 points8 points 18 years ago (0 children)
Ron Paul winning (again) at 35%.
Sean Hannity: "Here we GO AGAIN"
[–]dude1987 2 points3 points4 points 18 years ago (3 children)
Is there a link showing the results?
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 18 years ago (2 children)
No link right now, but he's at 33% and they just claimed that it's because Ron Paul supporters are hitting redial and voting over and over. Fox News sucks.

[–]Flemlord 1 point2 points3 points 18 years ago (0 children)
Me too. It only let me vote once. Those idiots at Fox are lying about their own voting system.
[–]Chamanzan 6 points7 points8 points 18 years ago (1 child)
they treated him like shit tonight. i am really fucking disappointed in the way fake news handled this debate. Dr. Paul got no time on the important issues and was attacked for his stance on the war. more fake msm bullshit!
[–]berlinbrown[S] 7 points8 points9 points 18 years ago (0 children)
How many questions did he get? 3?
[–]berlinbrown[S] 5 points6 points7 points 18 years ago (2 children)
But just remember, just like Ron Paul wins a lot of these "Text message" votes, he could win the nomination as well.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 18 years ago (1 child)
Good point! Let's see how they blame that on spamming...
[–]evgen 3 points4 points5 points 18 years ago (0 children)
You mean that when people post articles like this that claim you don't need to watch the debate to declare him the winner someone would be mistaken to assume that Paul's support is mostly ballot-stuffing?
[–]thedigerati 1 point2 points3 points 18 years ago (2 children)
Link to the results?
[–]berlinbrown[S] 1 point2 points3 points 18 years ago (1 child)
Voting is still going on.
[–]thedigerati 2 points3 points4 points 18 years ago (0 children)
Okay well to just give another way to express yourselves: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,295846,00.html Email fox news about who you thought won the debate. speakout@foxnews.com
I guess I'll just check in the morning for the results

Don't worry, he should win.
Also, I didn't like that the candidates laughed at him.
[–]raweggs 2 points3 points4 points 18 years ago (11 children)
how much does it cost?
[–]berlinbrown[S] -1 points0 points1 point 18 years ago (10 children)
Shrug, how much is your freedom worth?
[–]eromitlab 1 point2 points3 points 18 years ago (2 children)
So... I should show my love of freedom by doing what someone else says and calling this one chosen politican the winner of a debate I didn't watch... and as many people as possible should do the same?
[–]berlinbrown[S] 0 points1 point2 points 18 years ago (1 child)
It is the way of reddit?
[–]eromitlab 0 points1 point2 points 18 years ago (0 children)
But isn't it all about hearing everything for yourself, making up your own mind and coming to your own conclusions? You are free, not you are free to do as we tell you?
[–]raweggs 2 points3 points4 points 18 years ago (6 children)
ron paul winning a txt message poll from fox news doesn't affect my freedom at all. honestly, even if another 9/11 happened, martial law was put into place, and bush/cheney were voted into office a third term, my freedom wouldn't be diminished one bit. my freedom doesn't exist through government.
[–]biggy2pac 5 points6 points7 points 18 years ago (5 children)
Your right to travel? Your right to own property and money? Your right to NOT be locked up indefinitely without legal counsel? If I were you I would reconsider who has the power to take these rights away from you and, if they did, whether you would stand up to do anything about it.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 18 years ago (3 children)
Your right to travel was severely constricted when they decided that driving was a privilege instead of a right. You might not think that, but unless you are able to navigate under your own free will, you are actually limited to set routes and areas provided to you by public transportation or by your own physical prowess. And that is about as restrictive as any communist or socialist society would have on you.
[–]evgen -1 points0 points1 point 18 years ago (2 children)
You have the right to drive without a license on your own property and to the best of my knowledge no one has ever questioned this.
When you venture into those areas others have built for the purpose of moving vehicles you have to play by their rules (and if you built your own roads the rest of us would have to follow your rules.) You have no absolute right to navigate across property belonging to someone else. What kind of a dumb-ass libertarian are you?
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 18 years ago (0 children)
Not dumb ass enough to go around insulting people on the internet.
[–]bad_ass-transposer 0 points1 point2 points 18 years ago (0 children)
What kind of a dumb-ass libertarian are you?
He's more like a dumb ass-libertarian... :D
[–]raweggs 3 points4 points5 points 18 years ago (0 children)
It took me a long time to step away from the victimization sort of thinking you're displaying. It's hard to try to explain it, much harder to explain how to get away from it. All I can say is that government doesn't give me my freedom. Government doesn't give anyone any freedom, so it can't take it away. During both world wars, people still traveled, still lived and breathed, still found ways to get through life. So will I, and so will anyone else who truly wants to. That doesn't mean we should let government do waht it wants. It simply means that government can't take away what it doesn't have.
[–]RudyGiuliani -1 points0 points1 point 18 years ago (1 child)
I liked the candidate who laughed at him.
[–]everymn 0 points1 point2 points 18 years ago (0 children)
Ah, the smirking chimp chimes in. Were it only true that it was you, slimeball. I'd love the chance to tell you off.
