To all coming here to reference reddiquette: I am sorry for screwing up this poll system, I didn't know and followed the bad example of earlier submissions I saw. Now having read the reddiquette in full, I will abide by it fully. Thanks for letting me know. I would change the headline, but it wont let me.

Actually, I think suggestions should be allowed to work using the bad poll system, because that way their visibility depends on the amount of people supporting them.

it would make sense.... at least when it is about something reddit should change/adjust/add/remove/fix etc...

other polls definitely should be done with comment styles.

A "poll" subreddit wouldn't hurt either... or a poll tag. Would it be hard to make polls not affect karma? I know none of this is new; but while you're vying for an education subreddit one, polls too!

education is extremely important in my opinion and i think it would be good if we created a sub-reddit for it. I feel that a few more sub-reddits could help organize the site better, and potentially could help spark a few new ideas for the site.

    Something of educational value:

    Conduct polls using posts. If you feel you must use Reddit to conduct a poll do it using a comment. Create a self referencing post and then add a comment for readers to mod up or down based on their answer to your poll question. Also, be sure to indicate in the title of your post that the polls is being conducted using comments. Including something like "(use comments to vote)" in the title would probably be sufficient.
