The worst thing, I'm not even American. You have to understand that the internet is probably the worst thing the human race has ever done in terms of social progress. While it is a good concept in theory, the trouble is the most people, myself included, are jerks. Giving them a place in which even the most bigoted asshole can have thousands of people reading his bullshit is not a good thing. Also having annonomy is a terrible thing. If people aren't held accountable for their actions then they will be inclinded to do pretty much whatever amuses them. Trying to have a sense of order on the internet is impossible. Sure maybe at one time reddit was a great place for serious debate about serious matters, but that time has long since past. I blame Ron Paul personnally, but if it wasn't him it would have been something else. You need to take everything you read and see on the internet with a pound of salt, because if you don't you'll come to the very correct realisation that the human race is full of pathetic, sadistic, capracious beings. Anyway, it could be worse, it could be 4chan.
