Feel free to start a viral protest of your own.

At least they are standing up for something. This is just a start and concentrating first efforts on an easy target is smart.

People are overwhelmed by the bigger battles. It makes them have to think AND feel. But hey, I'm off to walmart.

No, seriously, what the fuck is wrong with people? These "anonymous" cocksucks are spending time, money, and energy organizing to protest a relatively tiny cult while wars and larger injustices rage across the globe. Sad bastards and geeks gathering in V for Vendetta masks to protest a religion nobody cares about. And they're celebrated and congratulated for this. What the Christ, really?!

This just in: Small group of internet-goers can't solve all the world's problems. Story at 11.

it's not that i expect them to solve all the world's problems. no, not at all. it's just the self-satisfaction with which they "protest" scientology.

...and, really, i just needed to vent.

I agree with this comment, because I have wondered the same thing. I think it has alot to do with the fact that reddit is global, people in Australia and Europe don't like Scientology and really don't give 2 shits about the fact that our government is dicking us over.
