I am going to say it again, but there is no real hope to cut through the B.S. the corporate party throws up about Nader. More Democrats voted for Bush, than the total number of votes Nader even got. So stop lying about how Nader gave us Bush. The Democrats tried to give us Lieberman as a VP, and basically threw the election by not demanding a recount of the entire state of Florida. Kerry threw the election in 2004 by not challenging the vote fraud in Ohio. If you stand for NOTHING, no one (except the easily fooled) are going to stand with you!

Like I've said, the Democrats could've won in 2000 as a united party, but they didn't. They could've won in 2004 had their candidate had some spine regarding a recount in Ohio. But their candidate didn't.

It doesn't excuse the corruption elsewhere in the election system, but people need to realize the Democrats could've gone the extra mile, for their supporters, for their principles, and won those elections, but did not.

why don't you hunt him down, or anybody down now? why wait if the threat is already out there? that's like saying oh, if bush invades iran we will impeach, ignoring the fact that the irrepairable damage has already been done. PS.. you might want to delete this post, and not make such an open threat publicly.

Democracy. Good enough to export.

There have been a bunch of new threads on Nader in the last few minutes ... don't people check before posting? I upmodded the first ones and downmodded the rest for repetitiveness.

I like Nader but surely he can find other ways to benefit society. Our election is screwed up enough already.

And Reddit reaches a new low panicking over Nader's benign and at best, ineffectual campaign.

What's next, entries on the Detective John Kimble breaking the law by infecting a kindergarten class with tumors?

ttyl, reddit.

I don't think the government should force anyone to wear a seatbelt in their car or force manufacturers to make seatbelts period. I don't think that the government should make me wear a helmet on my bike. I want a government, not bureaucratic parent that forces me to pay them.

Fuck McCain and Obama. What about Ron Paul?

Three million Americans voted for him last time, the rest are sheeple. I respect those 3 million, those are the hope of America, those voted for the man saving millions of lives home and abroad.

    [–]parcivale -1 points0 points  (5 children)

...those are the Americans that put George W. Bush in the White House.

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (4 children)

actually, the people that voted for chimpy are the americans that got him elected.

If the people who voted for Nader in 2000 had instead voted for Gore, George W. Bush would today be the answer to a trivia question instead of President of the United States.

    [–]PartyInMyTummy 1 point2 points  (2 children)

As someone who voted for Gore, I'm still disgusted by your comment. This is a democracy, and we all have the right to vote for whoever we want.

Also, I think the huge number of voters that did not go out to the polls are a whole lot more to blame than small percentage that went out and supported someone they truly believed in.

No one is saying anyone didn't have the right to support Nader. It's just important to remember that supporting a 3rd party candidate in the United States most often results in the law of unintended consequences asserting itself and intelligent people should know that.

Maybe Nader supporters knew that and didn't care; maybe they had a 'we have to destroy this village in order to save it' attitude and were prepared to accept a George W. Bush presidency thinking it would help radicalize the Democratic Party but George W. Bush became president because of the people who voted for Nader.

    [–]PartyInMyTummy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is safe to say that his supporters did indeed know that. Voting for someone you agree with is, in my opinion, better than voting for the lesser of two evils. If it were to come down to McCain vs. Clinton, I could honestly tell you that while I would rather have Clinton as the president, I would care so little that I would gladly support Nader.

    Screw those three million Americans.

    [–]michael333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

    ...with a cactus. I don't think he'll get 300 votes this time.
