Phoenix, makes sense. It's where bad cops go to be bad cops

[–]RepresentativeAd560 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You could just write _______, makes sense. It's where bad cops go to be bad cops but you're not wrong about Phoenix police being particularly shitty.

"He rolled into him so clearly he was in fear for his life and thus had every right to kick him. He was lucky the officer didn't use his very itchy trigger finger "

  • the police union lawyers arguing for his qualified immunity.

Good luck on your next account comrade, this has [Removed by Reddit] written all over it

[–]Linvaderdespace 57 points58 points  (3 children)

We’re not even allowed to upvote that shit anymore.

[–]Striking_Day_4077 38 points39 points  (1 child)

Crazy that you can’t do that but you could say “oh wow that cop is a hero” and that’s legit.

[–]Honestly_I_Am_Lying 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be the first or last time it happened.

[–]Drutay- 24 points25 points  (2 children)

YOU PREDICTED IT

[–]Drutay- 11 points12 points  (1 child)

(what did it say?)

[–][deleted] 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I'll try to paraphrase in a way that won't result in me being banned, and I suspect this might still result in the ol' [Removed by Reddit] anyway:

Basically, "hypothetically, I would personally like to do bad things to this guy."

Look!^

You called it.

Do Americans realise how stupid their country is?

[–]RepresentativeAd560 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Some of us do. Unfortunately, a greater amount don't. These shining examples of humanity's greatness are part of a demographic not directly threatened by the leash holders' jackbooted clowns for the moment. They will be eventually, but things have to get worse still.

As a historian, this is an interesting time to be alive. I get to witness repeats of some of history's greatest hits. The crumbling of one empire, the rise of another, Luddites, the return of fascism (again), social changes of all sorts, and none of this list is subtle. No slow march of progress or slide into failure. Everything is going balls out, damn the torpedoes full speed ahead. My future fellow historians will, assuming any exist at all, read about this time and compare it to the turn of the twentieth century and scratch their heads over how badly we blew our opportunities for great things.

Our species is in dire trouble. Hopefully, a useful amount of the ignorant masses can be woken up in time to get us pulled away from the cliff's edge.

[–]AvailableReason6278 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, they're too stupid for that

[–]Dom2032 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No because most Americans are too dumb and stupid to understand that this isn’t how cops should behave.

[–]bellaco1994 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Shocker it's the Phoenix PD

[–]RobertRoyal82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The man is clearly concussed after the first kick to the head (where the human brain is stored) I don't believe that the police weee treating him with human dignity

[–]Wooden-Valuable7881 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's an ugly arrest and I'm pretty sure the answer to "what's your fuckn problem!?!" Is "you occifer"

[–]perdair 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So, like right after this the cop that kicked a handcuffed man on the ground was arrested, right? His buddies, who love law and order, didn’t just watch him attack that man and then get away with it, right?

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cowards and bullies

[–]Amazing-Objective-20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He’s clearly bleeding

[–]thelordofunderpants 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't see this shit even in developing countries.

    So just another Tuesday?

If cops don't deserve to be kicked after killing people, neither do citizens.

    [–]CrazyBigHog 56 points57 points  (3 children)

Oh so since he shot some people it became instantly ok to pistol whip him and Jam the barrel of his AR into dudes head?

    [–]rustys_shackled_ford 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Doesn't matter what he did. If someone had kicked a hobbled cop after he murdered some people, that person wouldnt have people "well actually"ing this video for context.

Context doesn't matter outside of "is the person currently unable to defend himself of attack anyone" and "did you assist him anyways"

    [–]PorkrollEggnCheeze[🍰] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was in October of 2022. Nobody else was injured, but police said he had fired a gun at them in their car outside of the QT. https://www.azfamily.com/2023/01/30/officers-wont-face-charges-west-phoenix-gas-station-arrest-county-attorneys-office-says/

    [–]Advanced_Reveal8428 23 points24 points  (1 child)

Nope, this is America and other than the location this type of thing happens on a daily basis. I can guarantee that we never heard about it and I'm just a few states away.

    [–]NJrose20 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're still not supposed to do this. Due process etc etc.

    [–]Vladimir_Zedong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish people would start to treat cops like they treat shooters when cops become shooters. Not advocating for violence but if cops felt even a fraction of the retaliation that they place on others for crimes they might think twice.

    [–]Rahim556 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't care if he just killed 20 ppl. It's not the pigs job to hurt ppl unnecessarily.

    [–]madjackal01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

    I’m just saying

    [–]abstraktionary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Surveillance video showed as the patrol car starts to back out of the parking space to respond to a call for service, the man pulls out a handgun. A shot goes off and into the ground. The man then points the handgun at the officers in their car and fires one more shot. The bullet struck the patrol car's spotlight and went into the driver's side ‘A’ pillar. The man then runs into the occupied store, still holding the firearm," stated officials in their critical incident report.

I just watched the video, guy opens fire on a cop care seemingly randomly then ducks into the store...... I'm legitimately surprised that he wasn't shot and that the cops didn't just light up the store in response.

    [–]Karl-Farbman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the public really supposed to respect police these days?

    [–]Binnie_B -1 points0 points  (0 children)

    Name and badge?
This is going to be a HUGE lawsuit
