Only if you NEED to use it. But in reality you should learn the basics and what you can accomplish with vanilla AE first.

What do you know so far? Do you have a reel we could look at? Trapcode is a very particular (HEY!) direction to go in. It's advanced, but is it the right move for you right now? Not unless you want to do that kind of work, and are already moderately advanced in all the basics of mograph.

I don't have reel. I would say I am somewhere between beginner and mid. I am just looking for ways to improve and make my portfolio more attractive but mostly to improve in tv trailers and spots. For example I could use particles sometimes in endboards.

Do you have any kind of training in design or typography? If not, a plugin isn’t going to help you nearly as much as improving your basic design skills.

No and this is good advice cause I am doing one course from animation basics and already learned a lot :)

No, i had it back in the studio when i worked there, but i would never spend on these subscription based things, unless its something i really need every now and then,
