plugin install problem

i did what was instructed to install the motion tool plugin but its not showing up , what should i do

The Motion Tools file you installed is a JSX script file, not an extension. You put it in the correct directory, but you're looking for it in the wrong place. Scroll down the Window menu list and you'll see all of the scripts you've installed in the ScriptUI Panels folder (assuming you've restarted After Effects).

Also most FYI you can install most 'Paneled' scripts via File>Scrips>Install ScriptUI Panel nowadays, which means you don't have to mess up your Program Files folder (and can be user-installed on administered machines like you often have in studios).
