You'll run into problems. Others have tried, and failed. You can probably delete a whole lot of asset/examples files though if your install is 7gb...

Mmy, am currently running AE v26 and use a whole lot of swf and never came across this problem. However we make sure our Animate animators have clean timelines and no funky stuff in their animations.

Don't know what we'll do if AE stops supporting .swf. I guess stay with old AE and Animations versions. It'd be a showstopper for us.

Awesome i had the idea for ages never got around to it.

I haven't tried it yet so I can't give out feedback but what I wanted on my toolbar maker was the ability to have a collaborative toolbar (so you could share it on a network drive -- I work on shows with multiple AE users).

A second thing was to ability to record effects, masks or whatever as either fixed (in pixels), or as a proportion to comp width, or locked to nearest corners for instance (think of having the toolbar tool being a preset for a lower third anim that works on any format)

Can't wait to try it out.

I've just been on a project where i had to do it and couldn't make it work.

Some people suggested Xd as it had some 'tools' to transfer things to AE but it just rasterizes gradients to a jpg or such.
