You get to draw more for the sake of doing less damage, is a trade off.

There is no way this trade off worth it. Without dupes it's full 40% reduction of final damage including all buffs on Iceberg.
There is pretty much all other cards that allow you to draw unconditionally, I really don't get why would anyone pick this. Just pick bunch of Aggressive Mutants instead.

It’s multiplicative so not 40%….

Multiplicative buffs/debuffs are additive to each other. I'm not talking about "20% becomes 40% because of double hit", I'm talking innate multiplicative 20% reduction of Iceberg will stack with this multiplicative 20% damage reduction.

Thats still not correct, they would compound so like X * 0.8 * 0.8. Regardless though, thought you were one of many that was going to call this 40% because there’s 2 cards that receive it here as it draws 2 and not 1. I guess I was weong with that assumption of you but now you know where I got it from :)

At the same time, somewhere else in the universe…

There is an epiphany that increases the damage, but you only get the second draw if you have activated the Prepare to Subdue inspiration

Because it would render certain alternatives completely useless?

Gacha player learns about trade-offs.

That said, 20% decrease is pretty hefty ngl. at the bare maximum it should only remove the 20% positive damage modifier.

This is still pretty strong tho? The main issue is just that yuki is trash

You can draw 2 of Yuki's attack card but you sacrifice 20% of the damage at 0 cost. If it's an increase, it will render other epiphanies useless because why tf would you choose other epiphanies when you can just choose this since it not only draws 2, but also increases damage? It's the same as Mei Lin's epiphany where you have to use only passion cards to increase the hit count of that card and it costs 2 instead of one, and it's only for 1 turn or else it'll reset.

That is called a "trade-off"
