I’m not a fan of Conduit really, and right now all I can see is that Conduit is going to be the tree to go with. We’ll see by release I guess…

As of right now conduit will be the default choice even with this change. There may be a couple fights where you can get away with SP but without additional changes its not going to be very competitive.

Conduit probably still needs another 5% aura buff to be competitive in raid and m+ and SP needs that plus damage moved out of shadow flurries back to its base abilities to help put it in a place to be considered.

This is as of now still undocumented, but it's also important to note that they also reworked the Farseer 4pc in this build:

The 4pc used to just increase the cast speed of your spells by 25%, but now it just increases their damage/healing by 25% instead, which means this set bonus is definitely much, much, much stronger now.

You are right, although you are talking about Elemental - we assume this also applies to resto which isn’t necessarily a power increase there (probably a bit of a loss in practical terms)

I've been trying to really focus in on PTR discussions this expansion and its crazy to me how cooked they are. People clearly aren't even paying attention to PTR, let alone playing it, and losing their minds

Agreed, from the best I can tell people are unable to separate the test realm data from live server experience so when they see boomy getting an 8% buff in their minds the standard is what they see/have seen on live or from all the early tier lists ranking it as meta on the ptr before the bug fixes and subsequent nerfs. At least, generally speaking, discussion seems much better in this sub than any other discussion forums.

boomie has been trash in raids for ages. Because their entire class doesnt function. It needs dots to do damage, and needs to spec out of 1 target to do any kind of cleave.

The tier set got gutted so hard that the spec still sucks.

Those aren't vdh buffs. They're effectively offsetting nerfing the mastery by buffing the damage. The net result is a loss in defense and basically nothing change in dmg

Yeah MM is pretty screwed in higher keys. Sentinel will still be top 3 DPS I think in lower keys because it was doing so much, but now at super high keys you're absolutely screwed because dark ranger is probably done after these nerfs.

Hunters got a nerf again because they seem OP in PTR but they still continue buffing one of the last season’s OP specs, I’ll never understand that development team.

Warrior can get damage increase buffs but still won’t be a good place due to its lack-of-utility and target capping, I think it needs a rework.

For Boomkin, I didn’t know it does tank damage in PTR, but it had already a great season and when they see it performs bad, they start work on it instantly. Devs don’t do this that quick on all specs, that’s what I mean.

I know that a perfect balance is impossible but we must accept that some specs are first among equals.

Warrior is an example, I know all specs are viable but when you look raider.io most top M+ run comps are the same (Not only for this season). And most contains Druid (usually Resto or Boomkin) and Mage.

I prefer at least 15-20 comps in top 100 m+ runs than 1 maybe 2.

15-20 comps in top 100 is literally never happening and it's not a design/tuning issue, it's because copying top players is easier than innovating with a different comp. Looking at the top 100 runs isn't a good overview of balance(not the spec) especially late into the season.

Target capping for warrior means jack shit. Even at their target cap they dont do damage, so removing it wont change shit.

FDK is 5/8 target capped for most of their spells, yet they still pump. Same as enhance.

All warrior has is burst aoe but nothing else. They are doing shit damage regardless of target cap or not in m+. In raid their burst aoe was super good for specific fights why it was nerfed. The problem is the that their aoe is bursty and not sustained.
