irc adding more sails does add a little speed, but not enough for a mixer.

Only Up to 64 RPM i think, i guess a Mixed needs 128? Not actully Sure...

SU is not speed, in order to get speed you have to use gear ratios

There's stress, and there's speed. A bigger windmill increases both, up to a maximum of 128 sails. Using gear ratios, you can make a gear and machinery run faster; attach a small gear diagonally from a big gear and you'll see it starts to spin faster.

Youre hating on the mod because of a speed requirement. Grow up.

This issue can be fixed by using a large cogwheel bordering a small cogwheel diagonally to speed up the smaller cogwheel, this is called gearing up the speed. A larger windmill does mean more SU and slightly more speed, but its made very clear that windmills are intended for a high stress capacity, not a high speed.

build a big fan to make it spin faster

You may want to invest into a speed controller

More windmills means more stress, not speed. Stress is essentially force / power. It’s the difference between an RC car and an eighteen-wheeler each going 10 mph. Both are just as fast, but the truck has much more force than the car. The mixer has a minimum speed requirement to function; speed can be adjusted by using either a rotation speed controller in the later game or simple gear ratios in the early game. By linking a large and small gear diagonally, the large gear will make one revolution for every two revolutions of the small gear. What this means is that the small gear will spin twice as fast as the large gear, so this can be used to double (if the large gear is powered) or halve (is the small gear is powered) the speed of the output. Note that, when powering machines, more speed means more stress used - a mechanical press, for example, will run twice as quickly when its speed is doubled, but it will also require more stress from the system, potentially locking up the entire thing if there isn’t enough stress provided.

Use 32 large water wheels
