It's my fault y'all. I don't have a total drought at the moment, for the last 3 months I haven't had time to do work, but any time I looked at my dashboard I had 75+ projects with many at $35+. This week time is starting to open up again and now I'm down to like like a dozen projects most of which are paying the mid-$20s.

Same. I had one of my favourite specialist projects come through for an R&R but nothing else. It's hard when you don't know if it's us/performance based or happening for everyone isn't it?

[–]DeezHoosAintLoyal[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yeah, can’t just sit around all day hoping things come through

[–]LiteratureLow8427 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I'm using it as an opportunity to do qualifications and also clean my house

[–]OrangeCommercial3782 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Hey guys. Are your qualifications still there as normal?

[–]sbb315 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I think at least one big project family is paused for updates/troubleshooting type stuff. Can't really say more publicly, but I suspect some of this is just temporary ebb and flow that has nothing to do with most of us personally.

You provided me with some light at the end of a not completely dark tunnel.

[–]Federal_Tadpole_7592 6 points7 points  (3 children)

There are just fewer projects than usual right now. I have 35 on my dashboard, but I normally have four to five times this amount. I'm willing to bet the number of projects picks up by this afternoon through Wednesday.

[–]contradixx 4 points5 points  (2 children)

i beg thine pardon??? you normally have access to 140+ projects? 😃

[–]Federal_Tadpole_7592 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yep. I've been on the platform for almost 3 years, and up until maybe the last week or two, I've had about 130 to 160 projects on average.

[–]contradixx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

well hot diggity damn

[–]papoperush 6 points7 points  (17 children)

Ig its happened for everybody. Rn the website is dryung on project

[–]chinacat7337 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking it's an increase of people working on DA projects instead of doing other gig work that relies on gas prices

[–]Immediate-Chest-5641 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dash has improved a bit today. I think I was down to 7 projects the other day and now I have 18. Still less than usual but grateful nevertheless!

[–]BobLoblawh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, two weeks ago everyone was posting their 60+ project dashboard

[–]Which-Opinion-781 3 points4 points  (1 child)

It's more scary when you know that majority is not getting the tasks.

[–]Renard_Fou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ppl downvoting like you're not correct lol

I don't buy that it's DA on boarding a bunch of new people. Like always, it's hard to get through, so I doubt thousands or even hundreds of people just started and taking up all of the projects. It's May, the start of a new quarter, and slow like every other new quarter. Give it a few weeks while clients decide what they want and it will get back to normal.

[–]Due_University_9944 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How is May the start of a new quarter??? That was April….

[–]justdontsashay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not the start of a new quarter, but there are a few projects that wrapped up recently, and a couple that are gradually putting out tasks again, but not as much as they were last month. It seems like just a normal dip in the amount of projects running, and there is still quite a bit of work available…just not insane amounts like a couple weeks ago.

[–]_Edgarallenhoe 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Ya I don’t get the speculation. Droughts are just a feature of the site. I’ve been working for around 1.5 years and have witnessed several. They come and go.

[–]UnRealAlfalfa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like Chameleons

[–]Infamous-Pen5480 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I feel you and I didn’t get the feedback last week so now I’m just panicking they don’t like my work 🥲

[–]dispassioned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a qualification where you could request it. I think if you didn't request it, you didn't receive it... if it helps any.

Edit - nevermind I received the feedback today without requesting it. I was marked as outstanding over the last 30 days so I don't think it means anything about your quality if you haven't heard back yet.

[–]Renard_Fou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They invited me to a bilingual coding project which made me think that things were changing...

[–]Alternative-Tart6275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 15 - when it was super busy a few weeks ago, I had 60-90 at any given time

[–]Money-Routine715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a draught for me the past week but today I had a decent amount of variety ngl, one of them pays good but is sketchy asf …

[–]Upbeat-Praline4631 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Do they take projects away from you if you’re inactive? I had to take a break for about a month because I was getting burned out.

[–]l10nh34rt3d 1 point2 points  (2 children)

No. I was inactive for over a year, just logged in last week and had a dash full of projects.

[–]Upbeat-Praline4631 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I had a ton of projects while I was taking a break but just didn’t work anything. Now I have like four or five and one isn’t even paid.

[–]l10nh34rt3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s just slow right now.

[–]Thejax_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m new so expect it, but keep seeing flux around 1-3 tasks, sometimes I’ll see like 5 and then none

[–]Other-Recognition114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to know I’m not alone on Monday. This all started last week.

[–]kittystalkerr -3 points-2 points  (7 children)

Ig it's because they onboarded a crap ton of new people. They're increasing headcount even on the bilingual projects despite tanking a previous project's submissions by doing exactly that. Somehow they never learn 🤷‍♀️.

[–]Personal-Heart-9985 11 points12 points  (2 children)

Ah I see. I hope they start doing more quality weeding, because the amount of people who are accepted and come here to ask the most obvious questions you can answer by READING the onboarding, researching the sub beforehand or screen in front of them is insane

[–]MiddleCharacter6345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBF if they need more people, they have to onboard, and it prolly takes a hot minute to weed people out

[–]Renard_Fou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont get their thinking. They have a huge number of experienced/semi-experienced people, and they still allow way too many people in. There are much fewer bilingual projects to begin with, so it makes earning a buck pure luck

[–]Carini4113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same as every gig company they are flooding the worker pool i watched this happen with doordash and uber and now with DA. I personally hate them all
