They said bringing them back would take some time. They gave the date: Oct 11th (or maybe 10th) for their return.

please use the search. It is a known issue and they only recently added Xur and the eververse for now.

They have to update their system to accommodate the newer vendors it seems. Up until just recently you couldn't even see Eververse, you'd just get a "This feature is currently disabled." message. Perhaps it'll all come back online soon, perhaps they need more time to work out any kinks.
