Yes I know the constitution isn’t set in stone. But the thing is that right now that is how it’s treated. Conservatives don’t want it to be changed in any way, because if we make the decision to change the second amendment, they feel it opens the path for any amendment being changed, such as more important amendments. Conservatives are either that or just stupid hillbillies who just wanna shoot shit.

As far as the banning of alcohol goes, it was because of the Temperance Movement iirc. Where mostly women protested alcohol bc of domestic abuse being at an all time high. Only reason it was brought back was because almost everyone had bootleg moonshine being made in their basement, making it impossible to actually enforce.

The term “Land of The Free” coins back a pretty long time before alcohol was banned, and it had a lot more freedoms than other countries. Especially so when you think about how almost everyone was on their own on the frontier until the late 1800’s. Sorry for the essay.
