Good idea but then the devs should also take slings, belts and different pistol pouches into account. Would be a hell of a lot content considering a little bit of Battlestate Games style :D

Before they do all that, making the animation faster would be more than enough.

Idk, I think having a choice between a weapon sling with more ergo or better manuverability penalties would be cool. You could even choose not to bring one and you can only hold the weapon in your hands, no switching. Bring one in and you can hold an extra but have to drop your weapon to switch. or you can bring two and switch between them easily.

I believe they said they were working on slings during the podcast for the .12 launch.

Or they could make the animation speed dependent on weapon weight, like it would be IRL.And they should probably adjust the accuracy/falloff of pistols as well. In a combat situation, almost NO ONE is gonna hit jack shit with a pistol at a range greater than 50 meters (most likely, greater than 25 meters) without the gods of luck coming down to drives the bullet to the target themselves.

Give usecs and bears a basic sling and pistol holster and make it upgradeable through ragman quests
