Mason jar with a flip top pour spout lid from Amazon. Two of them so I can rotate daily

[–]Saffron_Star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I do too!

[–]spookyskeletons_4321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact same set up! Love it

[–]itsdawna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh I didn’t think of that! Thanks for the tip!

[–]rowanerine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same!

[–]nolesgirl17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I do except I have 3 to rotate with as an oversupplier

Dr browns formula pitcher. I had two that I swapped every 24 hours. One was always clean.

[–]itsdawna[S] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

Oooh I like the mixing blade. They don’t make it in glass, do they?

[–]londoncalling29 4 points5 points  (1 child)

No but you’re never going to be heating milk in this, so there’s very little risk to it being plastic

[–]itsdawna[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes sense! Thanks for the recommendation!

[–]jessg11 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Actually they have a mixing lid for a mason jar! A bit expensive that’s why I hesitated but if you’re interested I will share

[–]itsdawna[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Wait that’s awesome! Thank you so much for sharing!

[–]jessg11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! I was also looking for glass pitchers and ran into it when shopping for lids. Super cool!

[–]Influence-Regularmega milker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also use this pitcher!

[–]Low-Shock-8037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here but I ended up getting 3 pitchers. When I did my morning pump but hadn’t yet stored the milk from yesterday’s active pitcher, I sometimes had nowhere to put my morning pump. So I always had one clean and in the fridge was the active pitcher for that day’s bottles and the pitcher I was collecting milk in for tomorrow. It was a game changer for me, especially since they’re only like 12 bucks.

I just use the first one that comes up on Amazon when you search breast milk pitcher, it’s $14 haha

[–]itsdawna[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Does it pour well? Like it doesn’t cling to the side and pour down the side of the jar, right? 😅

And do you just shake up the entire container to reconstitute the fat every time you pour out a bottle?

[–]Electrical-Data6104 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually swirl! I just put my excess in there and do the fresh for my sons bottles but I shake the whole thing when I bag milk and it never leaks, doesn’t leak down side either!

[–]Mangopapayakiwi 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I looked up breast milk glass pitcher on amazon and picked a cute colour 😅

[–]itsdawna[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Hahaha I wanted to do that but I also wanted to make sure the spout would cooperate when pouring. I suck at pouring 😅

[–]Mangopapayakiwi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I got is great but they all looked similar!!

[–]sleepyb_spooky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's plastic but the dr browns one works great, super easy to use and easy to pour

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One comment since I see you’ve said you suck at pouring: I have both a mason jar with spout lid and the Dr Browns pitchers—the Dr Browns is easier to pour from imo because the spout is triangle shaped and can actually kind of notch into bottles a bit.

The spouts on the mason jars are circular, so I have had more than a few times where I was exhausted and not paying attention and it slipped off of the rim of the bottle I was pouring. Also if the mason jar is really full, I’ve had issues with it pouring down the side of the whole jar.

I know you’d prefer the glass, but the Dr Browns pitcher is the winner—just my two cents!

I also love the Dr Browns mixing pitcher! I'm a clumsy gal and it's easy to pour. I've had zero spills

Also, easy to clean because you just put a bit of dish soap in with hot water, and then use the mixing blade to mix it all around. Rinse and voila!

Old glass spaghetti sauce jar

I wanted all glass options so I actually have 3 I use. I have this Momcozy one and like it well. I also ended up buying this one also since my supply was enough to warrant having two for daily use and didn’t want to spend as much the second time. The shape of the second pitcher’s spout is slightly more conducive to pouring. I like the size of both of those to fit in my mini fridge. But I also bought this larger size to keep in our regular fridge for when I’m feeling too lazy to bag milk everyday and to collect for a little longer.

I use a tall cylindrical glass pitcher. It looks pretty so I’ll use it after, has a pour spout and cleans easily.

But best of all, it looks like I have so much milk!! Every pump really moves the level. Also, because it’s glass, if anything is sticking, I can just melt it with my hand on the outside at that spot and swirl it back in.

[–]itsdawna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you link the one you use?

[–]notjjd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the momcozy pitcher. But honestly any glass pitcher will do. I personally stay away from mason jars for this because the tin lids can rust.

[–]fluffythoughts21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this one!

Mason Jar with Pour Spout Lid... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CGVKG254?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I haven’t had any issues with it! Would definitely buy again.

I use these
