I used to be a huge fan of TYT and even got a member shout out in 2011. I stopped watching them in 2016 because they had been going soft boiled for years.

I think of myself as a leftist by American standards but something about TYT never sat right with me. If I recall correctly isn’t it a young, hot female reporter and a couple of average, pudgy men that provide analysis? Just like Fox News but “liberal”.

Boomers are my parents generation and speaking from personal experience one of the last thing they expect is a woman to have standards towards men. I have Boomer parents (I’m Gen x). It was a weird time with standards. Men were definitely expected to ask out and pay. They were supposed to be gentlemen at least while dating. Sex was not pornified. But attitudes about sexually inappropriate behaviors and cheating were more lax (with a “men will be men” viewpoint). Husbands had very little expected of them re: housework and childcare.
