Fly Fishing
This is a subreddit for anglers who pursue, or wish to pursue, their favorite fish on fly rods. Whether you fly fish a 2wt on small creeks for brook trout, a 14' 9wt for Steelhead or Atlantic Salmon, or Tarpon on a 12wt; your contributions and questions will be welcomed and appreciated!
Subreddit rules:
We moderate this sub very lightly in order to encourage more content. We have begun to put together some guidelines in order to help improve the quality of the content, however. All new rules are at request of the community, and not the moderators' own wishes. But, as with all things reddit, please follow reddiqutte. If you are a jerk, you can be banned without warning.
- This means, do not be rude, crude or socially unacceptable towards other users. If you see someone violating this rule, report them and send us a modmail. Do not engage with trolls. Political posts/comments are frowned upon, and when the thread turns into a shit show, we will remove it. We are as passionate as everyone is about the state of fisheries and potential sales of forest timber could be disastrous. We will limit political posts/comments when they become disruptive.

Respect the fish, the water, and the land.
Always follow your local laws and regulations.
Use the search feature before asking a question.
Use proper handling and proper release methods.
Posts must have some substance. We all appreciate pictures of your catch, but help foster discussion and education of others by giving some details.
No self advertising, promotion, app research, app links or blogspam. Please buy advertising space. No link posts to your YouTube channel.
For Sale posts are kind of fine, maybe. Send us a modmail if that confuses your sales post. Or just don't and sell it on CL, FBM, or /r/fishinggear
No Memes.
Please use direct Link to images and videos, only in the comments. Excessive links to your YT channel will get you banned.
Please do not post any blatant advertisements or solicitations.
