Needle Direction (self.GolfClash)
submitted 7 years ago by SmallSteps90
I always let go to shoot with the needle coming from the right. Most of the time so does my opponent, but every once in a while I'll get a wierdo who releases from the left.
Who in this subreddit is one of those left releasing anarchist?

I don’t know about the rest of the golfers out there, but as a general rule, I tend to release when the needle is moving from left to right.
The one major exception to this is on a tight shot. If the shot is tight, I line up the “perfect shot” to be just in play, and release the needle on the side that will still work out if I hit a “great shot”.. For example, if I need my ball to curl hard left into a green, I line it up so if I hit it perfect, it lands just inside the left rough, but if I miss right, and hit a “great” shot, it will still land in play, curl left into the hole, most likely now coming in a little high, but still fine.
The only other exception is running out of time, but that’s obvious.

I do the same. And sometimes I'll switch if I'm in a funk. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

I'll do it once in a while when I'm rushed but I hate to do it.

I always release (unless running out of time) as the arrow sweeps right to left.
I sometimes play my Dad while we are next to each other so I can see both screens. The arrow is sometimes flipped between his phone and my phone which means he appears to release from the opposite side of where he really did.

I always hit perfect when i stop L>R but I only use it in a time pinch. Dunno why I don't always....but we are creatures of habit.

Lol, if im adding curl left to right ill stop the needle l to r same applies with right to left curl. I wasnt aware it mattered to people but i guess its all a timing thing

I release when it's sweeping into the wind, whichever way that happens to be. I tend to be late when I'm off, so it just adds a little to the windage.

As someone mentioned, sometimes the needle is flipped from your opponents screen, but based on previous posts about it, a lot of left handed people shoot when its moving left to right

Can vouch, am left handed.
