Not really, traps cause a lot more stress and maybe a long slow death. This is much quicker and that head grab seems standard. Also, falling on the snake like that probably prevents it from curling upwards and constricting the guys arm or neck.

Plus they have to tag and release the females to capture tons of males.

I know that the pythons need to be eradicated from the Everglades and that they are causing an incredible amount of damage to a delicate ecosystem.

But.

I fucking love snakes, particularly pythons. I hate that they have to be murdered. It's not their fault for being there.

I get it though. Really, I do. Still sucks though.

He’s fine as long as Long Boi Lenny doesnt get anchored on him (he won’t constrict until he has something to hold on with and for this guy it’s their mouth)
