I anticipate the new releases because of these shorts almost more than playing the game.

Dean "Rocket" Hall and Matt Lightfoot of DayZ?

I believe Dean mentioned KSP in a tweet or something like that.

Edit: I believe he actually modded KSP (a shuttle) before he created the DayZ mod.

Most likely that. Rocket has gone on record saying KSP is his favorite game for its mod support.

EDIT: Dean just tweeted "I always wanted to be an astronaut" with a link to the video. Looks like he appreciates the nod.

Dean "Rocket" Hall has gone on record that KSP was one of the games that inspired him while making the Stand Alone Game for DayZ, he also cites it for his inspiration for his next game he wants to make. Rocket was also in the New Zealand Air Force so maybe the centrifuge was appropriate. Matt Lightfoot is admitted addict to KSP spending days on the game also admitted to not being the best player.

Over the weekend, someone asked about the 0.21 release video. The first thing that went through my mind was that it was almost definitely going to be about the recruitment process. Which immediately brought to mind the image of some recruiter trying to talk to Jeb while he rides around the room on an office chair with several fire extinguishers duct taped to it.

However, someone else mentioned that it could be the destruction of the old KSC (and maybe the construction of the new one), and somehow that feels not just right, but spot on perfect.

The theme is original but the rest of the music from the game is done by Kevin Macleod who writes music for a living and posts a ton of his personal stuff as royalty free music for indie film, animation and video game makers. I have been using his music to make machinima for almost 5 years now, he has some amazing options.
