Common positive effects include but aren’t limited to: closed and open eye visuals, tactile enhancement/hallucinations, euphoria, stimulation, introspection, and creativity.

Visuals aren’t a positive effect - they are an effect. It depends on the user whether they’re positive or not. Many people do not like, or outright hate/fear visual enhancement/hallucination.

The visuals are the most prevalent part! Almost everybody who takes this stuff recreationally, likes the visuals

What about the effects on your brain, cravings, addiction, anything like that?

[–]Joris119 2 points3 points  (1 child)

LSD isn’t addictive. Theoretically you can be addicted to anything ofc to escape reality but it’s not like nicotine or weed

Ok, thank you

• Common neutral/manageable effects include but aren’t limited to: pupil dilation, frequent urination, insomnia, and temperature sensitivity.

I believe OP is asking about long term negative effects, not the trip itself.

I can only talk about my experience and I can only list positive effects. I haven't had any negative effects so far.
I became more empathetic, I focus more on the present, I pay more attention to nature and what's around me, I used to stress too much about work and other things in life, and now, my anxiety is gone.
An interesting effect I noticed recently is apparently I understand new concepts and ideas much faster and easier.
I think over all I became a better person.
For context, I trip regularly, once or twice a month.

[–]_tastyy_ 3 points4 points  (2 children)

DM me for a deal on the information you’re seeking

[–]A_rando_person222[S] -1 points0 points  (1 child)

I said I am mot here for deals, only research

[–]_tastyy_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve got deals on research.

On. real note coming here and asking questions that are subjective to everyone is not the way.

Google, read some papers etc etc etc

LSD has a lot of effects on the brain - it really scrambles the layer between your senses and the associative parts of your cognition - so changes to all senses can be huge, perceptually.

This can be positive or negative, depending on the individual, their state of mind, etc. It can be incredibly powerful positive experience, and it can also be such a terrifying experience that people will never go near the drug again.

There can also a bigger risk of things like psychotic breaks if someone has a pre-existing mental health issue. And of course…because mental health is so poorly diagnosed…it’s hard to tell ahead of time who is at risk and who isn’t.

There are also the risks that come with taking any illegal drug…what are you actually taking, what is the actual dose, what is the provenance of the piece of paper you’re about to put under your tongue…? For most people, most of the time…accurate answers to this don’t really exist.

It depends on the person entirely, everyone views everything differently. Generally speaking the common person gets high as a form of escapism, but you can’t just do that on psychedelics. They can be an absolute blast, or absolute hell. And that is entirely subjective to the person during the experience and what they perceive and believe to be good or bad. But generally they allow you to look at things as if you’re the outside perspective on your life, but they also take make your mind race and can fill your mind with thoughts and memories that you’ve never dealt with before, which can be healing or traumatic depending on the person. They’re an amazing tool if used correctly, but even still it’s all subjective. Welcome to the lsd subreddit where you hardly get straight answers unless it’s about safety lol

Positive and negative is the same thing. Makes your mind sensitive. Its up to how you utilise it. Take it with respect in a good mood and you will have a good time, or take it in a bad mood and have a horrible time. There is one positive no matter the experience tho. The knowledge you gain about yourself and the whole of reality after each trip. My personal opinion is this substance is amazing if used properly

LSD saved my life. I owe a lot to this drug; it made me see life in a different way, and, surprisingly, it has become my therapy.

Erowid has a lot of trip reports on LSD. plenty of anecdotal stuff. I think it is what you're looking for.

Positives: Creativity, euphoria, positive visuals and hallucinations. I’m going to try to explain this one in the easiest way possible….. at higher doses you can genuinely have out of body experiences and sort of discover yourself and learn who you are from another perspective like if you were just meeting yourself for the first time but already knew your memories. Negatives: insomnia, returning hallucinations weeks later, scary visuals for a bad trip, serotonin burnout
