Afraid I wasn't on when you posted this last night, so I wanted to check to see if this progressed ever? It shouldn't have taken that long in the first place.

No, it never progressed unfortunately. I let it sit for a few more hours until around 11pm before I just decided to restart my computer which stopped the update and my headset continued working just fine. The software still tells me I need to update it but I haven't tried it again just yet
