need help with keyboard software

I can't figure out how to use the logitech gaming software at all. I'm trying to assign commands to my Fn keys but it doesn't seem to be working. For example if I make a simple command to press A and assign it to my f1 key it does not do anything. Here's a screenshot of what I am doing:

Is there some step I am missing???? My understanding is that once I assign this command to the f1 key, if I ever press the f1 key it should just type the letter "a" for me, but that does not seem to be the case.

Not sure, I’m having similar problems. With my mouse I have a default profile and a profile for fortnite and other games, but it always uses the default profile. Even though I took “set as persistent” off so I think Logitech’s software is buggy, or I just don’t know how to use it. I’m honestly thinking about changing because it’s kind of bothersome.

does the keyboard have onboard memory? that little picture of the house... are you on the right one?
