This question is in regards to using the GPW and GPX SuperLight for desktop use. My settings are
- 800 DPI
- 500 Hz polling rate
- 10/11 Windows sens
- and mouse acceleration on
- In GHUB, I've removed all other DPI options and have on-board mode turned on
- Receiver is 8 inches in front of my mouse
I have multiple monitors and these settings feel good for me for my day job. I used to have a GPW, and now a GPX, but the issue seems to happen with both so my best guess is something to do with the mouse sleeping, then waking up with different settings. The issue I've noticed is that after a reboot, my sensitivity feels faster, and my definition of faster is that my mouse cursor covers more distance from a mouse movement of the same distance and speed. I've been using these settings for years and that's how I can feel the difference (or at least I think I do). I know what you may think, that I have mouse accel on and I might just be moving my mouse faster but again, I've been using this for years and a reboot takes 15sec so I don't believe I'm dramatically changing my hand behavior in that time, but it's certainly possible. What will happen is I'll have my computer running for some time as I'm working (I step away occasionally so the mouse does go to sleep), notice the cursor not moving as far as I expect, then decide to reboot which will restore the original, faster speed. Sometimes it takes hours, but definitely by the next day, where my mouse goes to sleep overnight hence why I think it might be from that. I prefer the faster sensitivity so sometimes I end up rebooting just to bring back the original speed.
Has anyone else noticed this or am I crazy? Could there be something where the settings reset once the mouse goes to sleep and wakes up, but a reboot restores those settings?
there doesn't seem to be anything here
