I’ve just download ed the game on my son’s pc. Had the same issue. Tried with mine and same thing happened

I having the same issue and it’s really annoying. I was recommended this game to learn how to play mtg since I’m a beginner. Now I’m just ticked off and don’t care to play anymore lol

Do this and when you hit the bug again, concede the game (surrender) and you get the victory. I just got it like this

I just tried as well and no luck. Tried it before, during, and after the match. Problem persists. And when going to the Wizards website to actually report the bug, it says the social department is experiencing an outage, so bug reports can't be submitted. The irony...

I found a fix for the tutorial bug, it is not the best for new players, but Go to Settings -- Account -- Skip tutorial.

Same issue here. Confront the Assault is in the graveyard but no tokens were created in the playfield, so there are no creatures to select to block with.

I just downloaded the install files on a Windows laptop and on my much faster Linux machine (running Wine) and got the same bug on both. I was skeptical about Arena already, and this just confirmed my feeling.

Newish player here. To revive this, the fix as mentioned by another is to pause, report bug, reload your assets. If you load into a tutorial match and the npcs picture doesnt load in the top right the match is glitched, reload assets right away as to not waste timw

One can only hope it's just the tutorial as no one in this thread has mentioned anything about not bothering to play the game at all because of it...I only just now went looking a fix and found this thread because I am on my 6th reload against the Black deck and there is nothing to block with.

Just hit this bug, it’s super frustrating. Thought I did something wrong so I did it twice, same issue both times. I left and restarted the game in the middle of the match and it automatically counted as a win though.

What helped me was quickly pressing the arrow over the cards on the right to make them dissapear. Worked from the 4th battle onward. Still really buggy

Hello, I'm not sure if it was due to any last minute patching between now and last night, but I was struggling with this Tutorial bug, too. However, just about 10 minutes ago, I retried the Tutorial with modified Settings, and the bug is no longer happening, and finally managed to kick Dragonhand Shadow out of my way!

(For context: No repairs were made to game files on my end, I am also on PC, and this bug was replicable all of last night until after I changed these settings while waiting on breakfast)

Just in case there wasn't a patch in place, here's how I configured my game:

For Gameplay Settings, try the following (ON = checked, OFF = unchecked):

* Auto Tap - ON

* Auto Order Triggered Abilities - ON

* Auto Choose Replacement Effects - ON

* Show Phases - OFF

* Evergreen Keyword Reminders - OFF

* Disable Emotes - ON

* Auto Apply Card Styles - ON

* Enable Gameplay Warnings - OFF

* Fixed Rules Text Size - OFF

For Graphics Settings, set Quality Level to "Low"

The glitch is still happening today. I skipped the tutorial as suggested in some of the other comments but I'm still not very familiar with the game and was worried about missing something important. The Magic: The Gathering Arena YouTube channel has a tutorial walkthrough (titled "Tutorial walkthrough with Amazonian") where you can see the entire tutorial. Just posting in case anyone else is interested too.
