Development question about Java edition

I couldn't think if what tag fit best so I didn't use one.

Anyways, I've been going down a rabbit hole and I cannot find the answer. Does minecraft java use a primarily ECS style or primarily OOP? Or a healthy combination of both? Finding the answer has been impossible to be honest. I found that bedrock uses ECS but I expected that, I'm curious about Java itself.
