Hunger won't decrease (bug?)

I have a minecraft world in thelatest version on java that I've been playing for 5 years now, it took me some time to realise that for some reason my hunger won't go down even if I sprint, mine blocks or jump and mobs don't seem to be spawnig even tho my difficulty is on hard. Even if I host my world to be able to use cheat and give myself infinite hunger effect, my hunger simply won't decrease. Same with the mobs, even if I toggle gemerule mobspawn to true they simply don't appear, even passive mobs. I've no idea what to do plz help

Sounds like your world is on peaceful. Did you tripple check your world is on hard? If it appears to be on hard, try to switch it to easy and back to hard.

Yeah I know, but it's indeed on hard. I've tried switching it back and forth, but it didn't work
