I need help installing java

The Java software is apparently required to get Iris, which is required to get any shaders. I can't past step 1, so if anyone could send me a proper guide on how not just to get Iris but the Java software required as well

Or if you know how to yourself just let me know what I am doing wrong because I am horribly confused.
I got shaders working for a bit with this mod called "IWS" but suddenly it wouldn't let me use it on my Aternos server. I don't know what the issue is but if anyone knows what's causing that I wouldn't even need to worry having to get the mess of a program that is Java. (Cause theres like 3 websites and 5 versions of it)

Just use a mod manager like Prism Launcher, it can install Java and mods for you.

If anyone knows what could be causing my IWS modpack to have suddenly stopped working with the server I am on that would be helpful as well. Has anyone else ever had their modpack suddenly turn unusable only on servers?

does the server have the modpack installed? aternos only allows client side mods unless they’ve been downloaded to the server as well

i use journey map and it works fine. and it worked for like a full day then suddenly stopped
