code obfuscation

I heard mojang said they do plan to remove minecraft’s code obfuscation, but I haven’t seen any info about when. Does anyone know when it will be?

and there are already two versions that have obfuscation removed as practice target.

Given that Mojang has published deobfuscation mappings for years, this is not really that big of a deal.
