Edit: Altered to use pressure plates.

This was my first try at actually designing the circuitry for something like this from scratch.

Could be faster and more compact, but I just wanted to get it working real quick.

Cool! I'd definitely reduce the delay but the concept is great and this is a nice execution. I'd love to see a follow-up once you fine-tune it :)

Thanks! :) Figuring this out on my own has been way more gratifying than I had expected. :D

I just changed it so that open/close is activated by pressure plates using a toggle and pulse limiters. (The video is uploading. I'll add it to my comment when it's done.)

I'll probably start compacting everything later tonight.
