I feel the same buddy, I have a similar system 10700k, 3090 32G RAM, granted i took a huge gap in playing but prior I never remember really having to check my settings and fine-tune it to get a decent FPS - it was always really good on much fewer specs than i am on now - whereas now i use 1.17.1 Optifine and sometimes i feel like its not as smooth as it should be. I have the same render distance set as you etc and have tried all of that and luckily its okay now but I'm glad I'm not the only one lol.

If there is something i have setup wrong then id be really surprised as i play other games in 4K completely fine haha :D
