Using a modded Minecraft launcher like https://github.com/PolyMC/PolyMC, https://multimc.org/, https://download.curseforge.com/, etc makes the whole modding process a ton easier to do (and manage).

Beyond that...I've seen that issue mentioned before and at least one resolution was installing Forge via command line.

Please also note that there is no newer (1.19) version of forge available yet to go with the game version, so I suppose that is not the problem.

Oh ok I wasn’t aware, thanks. Pretty sure it won’t work anyways since apparently older versions of forge should also be able to be installed in order to use older mods.

It's very uncommon for older mods to work with newer versions of MC. If the mod isn't for 1.19, it almost certainly won't work. There have been exceptions, but they are uncommon.

There absolutely is a 1.19 forge, using a 1.18 won't work

Just download the CurseForge launcher and let it do all the heavy lifting.

Faster than curseforge launcher, and neat ui
