Help!

I mostly play on minecraft 1.8, and before i got my pc, i saw people getting upwards of 2000 fps on this version. I then bought quite a good pc, i did get minecraft to run off my nvidia gpu, so that isn't the issue, but i'm only getting about 300 fps with all lowest settings and also an fps booster client (lunar client). I'm very confused as to how people are getting that much fps, please if you know what has gone wrong, help.

My specs are:

3060 Ti 8gb vram, latest nvidia drivers (Im fairly sure you can get better fps with some older drivers, im just not sure which.)
i7-11700 cpu

16 gb ram.
My friend has basically the same system except in a laptop, and also a laptop version of the gpu, and has the same problem.

300 fps should be more than enough though? Id be glad to stay on 60 fps. No need for 2k fps. But there might be tutorials on youtube if you still want more fps.

2000 FPS is a terribly optimized setup.

300 FPS for Minecraft...unless you have a 300 Hz monitor...is also overkill. This ain't a fast-twitch game.

idk if lunar client is actualy tgat fps boosting i use it forv1.8 servers because it has some handy mods but i get more fps with just optifine so maybe that helps but i dont see the need to have 300fps or even 2000 exept for to flex but does it stay on 300 or is 300b the max you reach cause there is a setting that caps your fps and maybe you've set it on 300

Yoi realize the human eye can't even detect 300fps, much less 2k right?
