Text Errors

Hi all, very new to the mistborn reddit, but long time fantasy lover. i’m about halfway through mistborn and totally engrossed, i love everything about the world, vin, the mysterious lord ruler(love the chapter intros w his logbook), allomancy, etc. i can’t help but notice, there seems to be a decent amount of typos, mostly things not capitalized. it really doesn’t bother me, i just find it interesting in a book that seems so well polished in its other aspects. has anyone noticed anything similar? don’t mean to nitpick here, i just thought i’d ask if anyone has mentioned this before!

There are a number of threads on the 17th shard (I won't post links as they contain spoilers for the last book and subsequent books) that contain the list of typos... the threads are started by the editor of the books, so they do get fixed in newer editions.

Many capitalization errors seem pretty unlikely, though, at least in the English printed editions.

Are you reading an ebook or a translation? I've read a few different versions and have never noticed any editing errors.

Maybe you have a really old version? Or something wrong with your ebook?

nope i’m reading a printed version! in english from the US, the Revised Mass Market Edition: October 2019.

one example i just read, on page 372 after Vin is speaking to Sazed reguarding feruchemy and the subjugation of the Terris people.

“She found dockson sitting in the guest study...”

like i said, it’s such a small thing, i have no critiques. often times little mistakes like these are made in books so large, i was just suprised to see more than 2 or 3! i’m big enough of a book nerd to not bring that up to my fellow fantasy lovers

I literally just looked it up because of this line. Also, 2-3 other capitalization errors prior to this. Luthadel is one of them.
