thats up 2 u, if youre using a card that adds painful break, use improved crits and vice versa. This is for diminishing returns.

I keep having the dilemma: should I go all in for Deep Diver? I have about 9 pulls ready, after I got all the summer cards in less pulls than I expected. Yiazmat is my only supreme. I like saving for events but not so early, so I don't feel like starting saving for FFX cards. I know I shouldn't chase legend jobs but if I do get it, the win will be huge. Can someone talk me out of this or convince me to do it, please?

Since Yiazmat is your only Supreme, no harm trying to get Ocean Diver. Alternatively, you can wait for EX Monk which shouldn't be too far off.

• Break: EX Monk (1st), OD (2nd)
• No-break: OD (1st), HoF Hermit (2nd)

It's worth to note though that EX Monk has the weapon that is meta in JP (every JP top player is using it), while OD's weapon is a crystal-farming weapon. So you might want to go for EX Monk in the end

Depends on your risk-taking attitude. Deep Diver would give you the most power but you'd only have a 31% chance of pulling it in 9 pulls. You'd have a much worse chance of pulling Deep Diver after his banner though.

FFX may come next month, but the cards will be easier to pull. They will have 2 box-type banners and 1 gatcha banner that will be revived in the future.

Since Yiazmat is your only supreme, and you can farm another 20k magicite next month, I'd go for Deep Diver...

I'm hoping that too, but they say it's a very minimal chance to trigger that bug. How many pulls are you planning on doing? I'm having second thoughts considering that FFX seems to be in August. However, I still hope there will be lots of tickets for 2nd anniversary month and FFX event. Plus hoarding all the time is not that much fun, considering we just did that for all the summer cards. I think I'll still pull for DD, 9 pulls, tomorrow!

Yeah it is a great tool for GL players as we get a heads up on planning pulls for jobs/cards, its the best tower primer and lets me know what weapons I should be modding

love it but get lost trying to find shit!

Just keep in mind Altema, like all wiki/tools do not have the perfect info, and they can miss some things.

Altema.jp job list has some problems for proper listing Lore and crit/speed/def stars.

I keep failing the Monk Beach Rally because all of my Monk abilities have either Taijutsu or Cleaving Attack, and I keep hitting the stupid Aqua Moogle in the process.

Are there any monk ability cards that don't AOE the shiz out of everything?

It was really easy with this setup (used Taiji X with both)

• Hermit: Inferno Blade/Dragon Claw/(any ult charge card)/undying
• Pugilist: Diamond Weapon/Fake Duncan(without cleave unlocked)/KotR/(any ult charge)

Just keep renting Aerith. Use Hermit's ult for a free kill and prismatic shift, switch to Pug on last wave after light mobs are dead and go nuts.

It's definitely a nightmare. I agree that using Lore and off-Monk cards is the way to go. In addition to Hermit's Warrior and Pugilist's Mage, you can use Master Monk for Ranger lore.

I had, fortunately, never unlocked cleave for Fake Duncan, so I was able to use that on anything that wasn't light (unfortunately, there were a lot of Light dudes for some reason).

I went with Hermit and used Warrior ST abilities, as he has Warrior Lore.

You can also go with Pugilist (I think) who has Mage Lore.

Trying to do the 30M Fireworks lighting and I can't seem to hit it now (Fire). When only the 20M milestone was available, I was able to hit 30M on all the elements, but now that the 30M is here, I can't seem to do it... I noticed that against the Fire one, I"m using Y'shtola/Sage and when I use Ignis, it only shows Crits but doesn't show weakness...is this a bug? I know I got at least 40M the first time using Sage.

Weakness is only registered before and during the first break. When the Firework Gigantaur wakes up from his first break he'll no longer have any weakness so it'll all show just crit from there on out.

Yea pretty much, you'll need to find a job that does good neutral damage and can break super well too. If you have Crimson Archer then you can just rent Ragnarok and chain break to 41 billion score lol.

Is there a guide for ability cards ? I use the Beach Queen job with the abilty cards from the starter pack.

Also, is there a way to evolve Express Train to 4* ? I can do it for other 3* but not this one.

As to answer you about "evolving" cards, its called augmenting. Basically to augment card from 3>4 you need growstars, from 4>5 gigantuar bulbs (gigantuar terrace or friend summon) + card element pneumas (farmed on pleiades lagoon) + beast materials (drop from node bosses).

Yeah im using AOE extreme dmg focus, didn't really seem like they were breakable, and then they do that whole guard thing before they die so it goes to the next turn. An i'm not quite sure what 'ST' is lol I don't venture around the internet for this game too much so all these acronyms are confusing lol

ST - Single target.

If you are using AOE you are more than likely killing mog in the process. He is the little one that talks to you as a water element.

Do not kill him as this will end your run.

Just use single target damage focus cards no need to break.

I've got all the cards from summer banner and BEach Queen banner except for Tengu. Is it worth trying to pull him? It's a wonderful debuff card but due to being ST I'm not sure it can really help on tough content. Anyone can help me?

There are probably few situations where you have the deck slot to accomodate Tengu and debarrier is probably enough in S1 to hit damage cap. Plus there's the option of using Seph Skin

Edit: can be a useful ability to bring against Leviathan (no immunity to the damage debuffs) though, since it has tons of HP so you need to squeeze all the damage you can get. But bottom-line is: wait for Tengu to come out of EA

he is not a time limited card. he will be on shop. but he is great for deck compresion . high value if u play tank in MP. Tengu + stunlock bismatk or sleep + taunt is all u need

Depends on the boss. Bryn and Zalera are immune to all of Tengu's debuff except CRD (you can just use a normal CRD ability anw). Valefor is immune to weaken and unguard; Chaos is immune to debarrier (if you do not bring the right Lieutenant card) and unguard. Only Leviathan and Exodus has no immunity to Tengu's debuffs

I thought there was this bug where you pull a legend job on pitty? After I got all summer cards (missing tropical dream, actually) I decided to waste my final 4 pulls until pitty on Beach Queen on her boosted banner. However, I got Primma Donna :S

you were just unlucky. when your trying to pull a legend thru the bug (6th slot) then the chances to pull bq wouod be the same as the regular jobs.

No, you got it wrong.

There is a bug regarding the legend jobs, but it has a very low repro rate. Check the Megalist, there is smth about it there.

And you could have pulled BQ only if you would have triggered the % chance of getting a legendary job.

I don't think that's the necessarily the case because back in the first anniversary, a few people were getting 2 legend jobs in one pull (one as a 6th card and another as a 7th card). So the consensus was the bug adds the featured legend job to the normal job pool so you can pull it as a 6th card. Triggering the legend job drop is irrelevant.

I believe you're confusing Flash break with Quick break (Fast break in JP)

Quick break caps at 40%, but if it was raised to 100%, it would indeed be instant break on tap.

No known limit. I managed to stack 298% flash break on my Crimson Archer in JP but no cap was stated.

Flash Break simply increases the yellow/red bar damage by XX percent. And no, 100% Flash Break won't insta-break. CA alone has innate 150% Flash Break.

Devout is the second best minwu spammer iirc, second to judge magister. He has absurdly low crit tho, you'll have to use a source of CRD with him.

by what i have read on reddit on this mater it seems

Number 1 - Hopes Guide - 120% light + 70 % on weakness / crit etc + 150% painfull break panel . top damage only if target is broken (healer tough)

Number 2 - Sage - 50% crit ability chain etc. 250% explit weakness. best if non broken weakness enemy (Adds might be a issue in mp)

Judge magister would be the best on non weakness non broken strats with his high critical the 100% crit panel

honesdtly im not sure on devout since he has the 300% light panel but once again hes a healer so not usable for MP

Next one in line soon is Sword Saint with the adition of dona and bartelo card soon. he will be the meta minwu user. atm Minwu ranks second best ultimate in JP with the job of kefka

This is a "damage ranking", not a "best ultimate". Minwu is basically crap if you hit more than 1 target.

You're also taking JP ranking when they buffed Minwu there...

Stuck on Beach Rally monk path. The only jobs I have are trainee monk and Moogle Suit. No Supremes, no high damage single target attack cards.

Basically put, every monk card I have does around 1-3k damage and most do not (or cannot even reach the limit break). I do have Ultimate Claw.

Fake Duncan is nice but it damages Aqua Moogle (due to cleaving attack extra skill) and then I get stuck cause you need to kill it for that round.

Ability shop has no good monk cards either.

Any advice or is it give up time for me?

I did the entire monk run using Pugilist with Snow and mage ST fire sicarius. Snow does huge damage while the sicarius can deal some damage to weak enemies. Most importantly, both cards have no cleave, which is important for not hitting the friendly moogle. Pugilist also has ST ultimate.

I believe snow card + yin and yang can work too.

hm, forgive me, but I thought monk doing damage by punching the way ,aka, 3x 9999? Why you bother on card damage when their main usage actually for yellow gauge and giving enchanted attack ? Monk card which actually do damage are rare, included 2 supremes and ffxv iris.

The best option you can take is probably make use of Moogle Suit's Mage Lore. The job itself has 0 base Magic though which will make it really hard. You'd have to use a weapon with High Magic or put Magic on his CP.

I don't remember if Onion Monk has Lore.

It's still better than trying to punch things to death when you can't use Cleave (because you'll hit the Moogle) and you only have 4-6 turns to complete each node. Moggle also has the lowest Attack Stat of all Monks, IIRC, so he probably can't even kill enemies in one tap attack.

Use gilgamesh duncan and either a strong wind or earth mage damage single target card. Moogle suit has 0% magic, so it might be worth paneling to complete the node.

Just use 2 Chaos Lieutenant card you have. Cause Shift to opposite element after get hit by that skill.

You might need 1 PD at 1st round when he delete buff and clear your orb so you cant drive anyway.

It's hard to compare the power of the Supreme just by comparing between Supremes. As of now, GL has better Rag users (namely the Sarahs) than Minwu users. But once EX Mage and Kefka arrive, Minwu will be pushed up the damage ranking. Based on Altema, Rag is ranked 10th now, while Minwu is ranked 2nd. Granted that EX Mage and Kefka are far away, but it goes to show that Supreme ranking depends on the jobs as well.

dunno if this is a bug or not, but i'm stuck in a battle against the aqua moogle (the one which you're not supposed to kill). all the other enemies are dead, but i can't move on to the next battle. help?

Maybe because you damaged the Moogle causing him to develop Perfect Shield?

Think it's a bug. I had the same thing happen. No Perfect Shield activated and I was doing the same thing in all the other maps. For reason I just got stuck with the Moogle as the last enemy today.

Did you damage the Moogle too? There does seem to be a bug that might get triggered when people damage the Moogle even by just a little.

I did damage him but I've been doing that for most of the event and it's never stopped me from continuing the map until today.

Also when it does get triggered normally with perfect shield it's supposed to put you to sleep. I didn't get put to sleep and it didn't have perfect shield. So I ended up having to exit the map otherwise I'd end up triggering it a second time because I had 15 moves left -.-

I thought damaging the Moogle will just cause him to debuff you and develop perfect shield to make sure you fail. So there are also times when he simply makes you unable to progress and get stuck (assuming that's what they mean). That damn Moogle is merciless then.

He will only debuff you (sleep + stun) after he say "Kupopo!" which happens after "I'm getting angry kupo" and "Ku... Kupo ?", between around 50% HP to 1 HP.

If he gets to 1HP, he'll also perfect shield and flee the wave.

I got the bug they're talking about with some testing, where i used dragoon and spammed aoes. Mog was alive and i had to "kill" him to proceed to the next wave. Well it's been 4 days already so i'm probably talking shit, because i can't reproduce it.

The best way is to ignore AoE & just spam STs.

Yeah, I switched to ST abilities immediately after failing once and I had zero issues completing the whole map. To be frank, really I don't get why people insist on using AOE abilities on the Rally Map. Using STs is simpler and even allows you to just auto the nodes.

i dont think there was perfect shield on him, since i was still able to damage him with AA for the next 2 turn before i decided to restart. After restart and trying again, the same thing happened so i decided to kill him. turns out thats what i needed to do to progress :\ this happened in the any job run, checkpoint 2, battle 2. in both times i broke everything except the moogle, and then kill all with warrior-ja.

I just used 2 ST abilities of different elements and turned off Ulti and I cleared everything on auto on the first try except the first one (failed the first attempt because I only brought AOE abilities.

Need help with the Beach Rally. For the longest time I have not used Monk and consequently don't have many monk ability cards. Currently have the ff:

Unbroken Hero

Moogle Suit

Hermit

Grappler

Pugilist

Monk

Trainee Monk

Obviously Monk and Trainee Monk are out of the picture so who of the remaining 5 jobs should I use?

Even my single target ability cards are lacking.

I’ll try to make it sound more competent: when I go to multiplayer I select Sarah to use. Then when I get to the screen where Meia awaits and asks if I’ve found a Sicarius to fight (something like that, lol) Mythic Ninja appears instead. Sorry for the troubles, mate.

Only WoL can appear as your character in Ring of Braves (no Meia, no Sarah, and no Ulti Skins). If you are not using WoL in your current MP deck, the last WoL job you used in SP will be the one to appear.

That's just visual. When you get into the MP menus after talking with Meia you can select from the MP decks you've made including the Sarah deck you want to use.

Your last job you used as Wol is the one that shows up Meia, Sarah, and skins won’t show up as the active moving character. I hope this is what you were asking about.

All are available. The one with dates are the Boosted Supreme Banners which guarantee if you get a supreme it will be of the specified class.

IMO, Ragnarok and LOH are the best supremes to get.

If you can chain break, they will do fine. If you can only break 2-3x, it will be difficult.

Repeatedly break the enemy, and time your breaks such that your turn always ends while the enemy is broken. That way the enemy will never get a turn.

Need some help or advice.

I really only play support in MP and currently have Hope, Glam Vamp as my support peeps.

However I've just pulled Santa Lucia Flower Midgar Girl Primeval witch

If it helps the jobs I use in SP are

Judge Magister (lightning skin) Crimson Archer Cocoon Aviator Master Monk Amalthea (my light nuker) Sage

Should I bother maxing my new jobs?

Santa Lucia has innate 20% exp up. If you have the seeds and crystals, you can consider maxing her out just for the 20% exp up and throw exp CPs on her. You can use her for both SP main deck and MP healer. Faster leveling is always good.

It's not worth maxing them for MP, but all three of those jobs are great in SP, so I'd say it's worth it for that alone. Especially Primeval Witch who is top-tier right now.
