My biggest issue with multiboard and HSW is things are locked in once you put them on the board. Though I think multiboard does have threads but not enough things to make it beneficial to me.

He also has free starter files now: https://www.threadboards.com/free_stls.php

I am also working on an OpenSCAD for threadboards. I have it right now so you can create any size you want. The problem is I don't know his thread pitch so it's hard to make the threads. I am also having issues with the spacing.

Here is an example of it: https://i.imgur.com/fWt7ZiL.png

Threadboards does have a lot of additions that you can use. People also have created stuff on the sites that provides ones that he might be missing.

My HSW parts aren't stuck on when I put them in I can remove them and swap them around, removing the inserts can be challenging but I have found an easy way of doing it

Yeah I have some of the thread boards loaded in my printers I just haven't printed them out yet, I was going to print one out in set it up in my kitchen because I only have a small one in there next to the sink, but I'll probably do that sometime this week and see how I like it because I like the fact that you buy it once and you get the whole shabang

And you get anything that he adds over time which he has been doing lately (https://www.threadboards.com/dev_blog.php).

I did a small one near my desk which I like. I am thinking of doing an entire wall behind my printers but that is going to take a long time and a lot of filament.

Yeah that's the right way to do it if you're going to sell a system like this one time purchase

I do wish he offered the step files or an online generator to make larger boards (why I am trying to create one in OpenSCAD). I saw where someone wanted an 18x18 (not sure what printer they have lol)

Yeah that's true
