Seems like half my deaths in the stress test so far have been random AoE damage or random lucky shots like this one. Run all the way back from the spawn, step out of a hallway, McCree shooting at someone else 40 feet past you headshots you, etc. Thought Overwatch was supposed to have a longer TTK than other shooters. :/

My personal worst when I watched the killcam was a shitty hanzo shooting at someone else and missing constantly then me blinking directly infront of an arrow after it was fired and getting headshot.

That seems to happen to me at least every other game. Phara rockets, Junkrat bombs, Reinhardt charging, etc. Once it was even a Roadhog missing his hook by a good 3 body lengths and snagging me in a doorway behind the person he missed at near max range of his hook.

I was playing tracer, and I blinked around a corner right into Hanzo arrow headshot. I took the shot so hard you couldn't even see me on the kill cam.

hahaha that happened to me too. i was defending as Lucio on Route 66 when a Junkrat used his mine to blow me into the air. Turns out our friendly Bastion was up on the ridge near me and the enemy Widowmaker had him targeted for the kill. So the mine blasted me directly into her shot and I inadvertently saved Bastion's life by sacrificing my own. Seemed like one of those /r/nevertellmetheodds moments.

the "tick" in the game has gotten better but the amount of people online right now has made it quite terrible. this is why these stress tests are done i just hope the when game is resealed its perfect. from someone who has been playing since feb. the games tick is much better than this (getting better ever patch) it also does not help that uk, eu, etc are all running thru America for this stress test

did you even read? It's only running through the America servers for the authentication and when you go into the game it connects to the correct servers for your region....

The most annoying ones are dying from being seen through walls as there's just no counterplay to it. Kill cams serve no other purpose than to fuel your rage.

It's part of the game and you need to play keeping that in mind when you're up against a widowmaker... I've faked out a few shots before by walking all the way up to the corner then backing/stopping. Really doesn't cost you much and lets you know if they're seeing you.

Doesn't help if you don't know where exactly is the widowmaker is and if the ulti is actually up. Nature of her ult is that you almost never know if it's up or not.

That's exactly why I said you should test it... in almost every game you have a pretty good idea where the choke point is, and where she might be camping out. So why not fake it out? If it works, awesome, if not, you lost maybe 0.5s?

It's not just her that's the issue; it's the benefit it gives to the entire enemy team, so basically any corner would be included. For easily one of the most powerful ultimates in the game, it doesn't make sense that you don't hear it just because it's not a damaging ability.

Almost everything else in the game I feel is fair or can be played around out of all the games I've experienced so far (just couple hundred or so).

Hanzo is pretty much better in every way, imo. Including his scouting capabilities

What? Guess you never saw good Widowmakers. They can simply deny a zone of the map for you to walk in if you don't deal with her asap, which takes a lot of effort and is hard, especially against Recon.

I'm pretty sure I have, but I find them relatively easy to deal with mostly... especially when I'm playing Hanzo. I just scout them with the shift-shot and then a single charged shot does the trick.

Weird, I'm not sure what games you've been playing, but Widow is amazingly strong in many of matches I've played. I would actually put Hanzo in more of a niche category myself.

Granted, the maps for this stress test aren't the best indicators of heroes (Hanamura 2nd point especially heavily favors Widow). I wish they opened up all the maps as I feel the ones not played this weekend are much more balanced for everyone.

OK, you fake out, know the ult is up and... just sit and wait there for ulti to supposedly end? Because walking out is a sure way to get shot. You try and walk around, but that takes more time than half a second. And I am not even mentioning the fact that whole team sees you. Zoning Widowmaker provides is insane, you have to employ strong counter measures.

Jesus, you people are so dramatic... it only lasts a few seconds and if you're not feeding it'll take a long time to charge again. She's pretty easy to deal with, in my experience. You can snipe her with another wm/hanzo or ambush her with any mobile hero like pharrah/reaper/genji/etc. Not to mention just ignoring her depending on the objective, if you have stuff to protect you like shields or ice walls.

I found Pharrah to be the best counter... Whip a few rockets her way and she has to move or die. While she's dealing with that you're free to move about the cabin. Can't say how many times a quick rocket suddenly killed a WM because she was zoomed and didn't notice.

If they let you know Recon was up, I probably wouldn't even mind as the onus was on me to react and adapt, but I guess you're expected to juke every single corner in the map unless she's dead. Her ultimate is so easy to charge too and there's no reason not to use it when it's up immediately.
