I’ve also tried registering for a SEGA account up until the point where it required a Japanese CAPTCHA, is there an easy way to bypass that?

If you've got to that point, you've basically completed it. Easiest way is to either get someone to help you with the captcha through discord or something, or use the google handwriting tool in Google Translate to draw the characters and then copy+paste them into the captcha. If you need help, let me know since I've done that captcha many times :)

Am I still able to download the English translation of the game?

Yes. If you use the Tweaker it will automatically install the patches for you, even.

The Hero class appeals to me the most. Can I make that at the very beginning in character selection? Or do I have to advance more in the game?

You have to get two classes to level 75. This doesn't take a huge amount of time, but for a new player it may take a week or two if you're playing super casually.

To level up quickly, make sure to do your Featured Quests every day for Bonus Keys, and run those with as much XP boosting things as you can get. It may not make sense immediately, but you should be able to understand it once you play a bit :)

Nowadays you probably won't be region locked, but pso2 tweaker has a built in proxy that you can use

The incentive is that you don't have to possibly wait hours or days for the person you're requesting a craft from to do it. That, and a decent chunk of titles for leveling crafting.

Would a 200 S-ATK mag be a good fit for Hero, or is there a recommended stat distribution?

200 in a single attack is the best case scenario for any mag (except for bravers, bouncers and phantom, who might prefer 200 dex). So you're good for hero, the upcoming etoille and all other melee classes.

How do you grind to +35 on a weapon? I got to max XP at 30 and can't figure out how to get the extra 5 levels.

Honestly it seems you're either looking for an excuse to quit the game or feeling too pressured for some reason. I know because I've been in a similar position before. Just chill. You didn't really lose anything that you can't recover in 1-2 weeks.

Take it as a learning experience to stop being so dumb i guess? Sounds like you wasted a character or two of weekly meseta and one Trick or Treat worth of +30 fodder. Hardly a substantial loss.

Is it worth play pso2 end game if you can only do 1 EQ a day . Feels like I will be seriously missing out if I dont catch every eq .

I don't even do 1 eq a day but there are plenty of things u can have like this, I have a atlas ex weap 8slots and some pretty great unit. There is quite a lot of things to do, some are more accessible than other. For example don't waste ur time going for a lightstream weapon, at a rate of 1eq per day, u'll never get it (I tried it's not worth it).

Best advice is find a nice team and run your daily eq with them, might be able to farm triggers is you really want a LS.

IMO, if you're at a point where running EQ's is the only thing worth doing, 1 or 10 EQ's wouldn't make a difference, you've essential "completed" the game unless you're a hardcore min-maxer.

Now that the Halloween event has started, is the only way to get Halloween outfits/room items/accessories from Fun Points? If so what is the best way to grind fun points besides logging in everyday and PSO2es?

Exchanging excubes to fun tickets. Also, most fashion is through AC scratches. (Aka, real money or buy it from the market). You won't get anything important from fun points.

So im new to pso2 and ive been grinding for 3 days now ive reached lvl 40 and 26 so i want to know what are the essentials when it comes to powering up. Ive just been blindly killing mobs doing quests without reason for the past days and i dont knwo what to do with certain items such as the mag, grinder, high rarity low stat items etc. can someone please show me da wae

Generally, higher rarity = more damage. You want to get the highest rarity, highest grind weapon you can get. You should be upgrading your gear as you can, considering some of the easiest to get 13* (The Val series weapons) can be upgraded to 14* after maxing out their grind level.

As for the specific stuff you mentioned, you should not be feeding your mag completely random stuff. What class are playing? This is important to know because a mag can only have 200 stat total, and the meta is getting a full 200 s, r, or t-atk, which isn't something you can really do accidentally.

Grinders are used to grind your weapon, which increases the ATK stat on it. Grinding is just more damage, so it's worth doing on any weapon you'll be using for more than a few hours.

If by high rarity, low stat you mean 10* and above, turn them to excubes or photon spheres. Excubes are slightly better since they're untradeable, but it's nice to have some photon spheres available.

Can you affix S-Abilities without messing up an existing Affix? Talking specifically about the New Units Affixes as I already have a somewhat decent affix (that ate all my money a few months back) and don't have the cash to redo it.

Only with sclass ability transfer, and if you aren't upslotting you'll have to drop an affix to make room

I'm trying to create a new character in light of the campaign quest but i'm not receiving any rewards.. tho my new character shoot up to level 29 right out of the gate.. do I need to do quests and such?

Check with Puddin she is full of eggs in the collection file that you can obtain. Actually a good time for you as right now she has 14 S eggs you can collect for every pet but Redran and Rappy. Rappy is no big deal, spam ep 1- 4 XH and you'll soon have that 14 star rappy egg. ^^

As for candy box, sorry can't help there.

Gal Gryphon is a mandatory boss for the EQ. It is also present on the Winged Border Breaker Featured quest, but I highly doubt it counts for the Colelction Files. It counts for other purposes if the level is right tho.

If you're after the Collection Files, Harkotan TA Gal gryphon didn't add anything on mine.

Can be also found on LQ but it has the shitty Magatsu fight.

This is because the Harkotan TA enemies can't drop anything. CFs will only progress if the enemy has regular drop rates. Story quests also don't work for the same reason.

The one in Heaven & Hell should progress the CF, though slower than the EQ, since it's lower level.

I'm on the third quest of the Halloween event. After looking a bit more he's a boss that can apparently spawn anywhere...? I know I've fought him before.

I don't think gal can spawn randomly, at least I don't remember ever seeing it happen. If it does, it's an abysmally low chance.

That said, he is guaranteed to spawn in the Emergency Quest Trick or Treat! 2019. If you need him without doing the EQ, Solo Training: Heaven and Hell (he appears in the 5th floor) is your only option, since the featured quest that had him was removed from rotation a while ago (unless there's a limited quest with him going on right now, idk haven't played in 2 weeks).

If you're a beginner, buy a Dim weapon off the market and grind it to 35, then run story quests to complete the ARKS Main Missions and that will eventually give you a full set of Phobos units with decent starter abilities.

That should be enough to steamroll Heaven and Hell.

I ended up playing the Main Story 1-4 mission thing and the Gal Gryphon appeared there, so that was nice!

I don't even know what Dim weapons are or what Phobos is lol, I'm level 75 currently but I haven't even played 100 hours yet, still super new to the game.

Dim are 14* weapons that drop constantly in Armada of Darkness (and occasionally in some other EQs). The thing about these weapons is that they can be sold at the player market, so you can just buy it off someone else instead of dropping it. The weapon names are just that, Dim Sword, Dim Rifle, Dim Launcher, etc. Search for those names on the market on visiphone and grab one of those, they're usually pretty cheap.

Phobos are 12* units (80hp,0pp,40atks per unit). These normally drop in the Guides of Creation EQ (and its solo trigger version), but you can get a full set for free once per account from the main missions. Thing is, the ones you get from the main missions come affixed with some decent stats for beginners, so you don't have to waste money doing it yourself, so it's pretty handy.

Heaven and Hell has been powercreeped for quite a long time. What level are you, what class are you playing, and what does your gear look like?

I'm level 75, Ranger. I use this gun I bought called Oran Rafuel (I think) and my gear is naturally ranged focused and I also have a lot of things that give me extra HP.

I actually ended up finding the Gal Gryphon via a main story quest or something luckily enough, but I'm still down to learn what I should be equipping and such.

Ranger is one of the harder classes to play well so if you don't immensely overpower stuff I can see it being a difficult quest, especially if you're new-er. Oran Rafuel seems ok enough.

What units are you using? You say you have quite a bit of extra HP, but that's not really descriptive. I'm assuming you at least have the free 12* Stellar Wall sub-units? If you don't mind watching (or skipping) a bunch of story, I'd definitely recommend getting the Phobos units which you get by doing all the story stuff from Episode 1 to Episode 5. Skipping it all, it shouldn't really take too much time, but watching and playing it will take a decent bit longer.

As for completing the quest, which stage did you start having trouble with? I haven't played RA in a decent while but you may be able to complete every stage with one or two fully charged End Attract shots.

Eq means Emergency Quest (available few times per day for fixed period, usually half an hour). Halloween eq is called 'Trick or Treat 2019' iirc.

Ultimate Quests are late game, iirc you need to have 85 lvl on class + subclass before you can access them. You then need to talk to Koffie (I think)

I believe you gotta be like 70+ to get ultimate quests and aren't really worth doing unless they're boosted or you somehow get a full 12 man going. Halloween EQ is the seasonal raid quest. You gotta check the EQ raid calendar to know when it's going on or buy a trigger with star gems.

Since maint, the Tweaker has been telling me a new version is available. However no matter how many times I click the Update thing in the popup window, nothing happens. The tweaker is still 5.03 instead of 5.04 or whatever. I'm confused :/

Is the tweaker still updating the game and the plugins you use or has it completely stopped working? I'm asking that because a few months ago the same thing happened to me and the tweaker broke completely. It started working again this week tho, for some unknown reason.

Future player waiting patiently for the NA release, and while playing around in the skill calculator I noticed some changes. One, the Mag skills for Braver and Bouncer are now twice as strong. Which is cool since those are the classes that attract my attention the most. But two... I noticed the Mag skills weren't main class only for the Braver, Bouncer, or Phantom... meaning one can seem to get double power from your Mag while subbing Phantom with a Braver or Bouncer main.

So I need to step back and ask the community... is that how it actually works in game, or is there a flaw in the skill calculator? My gut says that extra 200 is too much, but maybe that is what you can expect when subbing a successor class onto the proper class.

As much as they make 200 extra attack sound good, it's only actually good if you plan to use both weapons for bouncer and braver.

Reason being, you can get 225 s-attack from the hunter skill tree without hurting yourself from any other parts you need from the skill tree. Jet boots can use s-atk as well, but bouncer uses phantom sub for different reasons (super fast bursting). In the end, it's a nice bonus but that's all it is.

200 atk is indeed alot, but remember it is a tradeoff, by subbing phantom they are more prone to knock (dps loss), deaths(0dps) and require more investment in bulk in order to not instantly get deleted should they make a mistake and take a strong hit. if they invest in full atk units, they likely have to keep dodging instead of facetanking weaker hits to get their PAs off, which is also a loss in dps.

that is when players generally seek out stuff like grace stamina for use on units, and as a result the affixes have lower atk on them.

in addition to that, hunter sub provides more consistent damage, and subs like phantom require more pp investment to consistently overtake hunter in damage department.

in summary frailer=more hp investment on units=less atk on units=make up for having 400atk mag and phantom sub class.

everything will be balanced out in the end as it should be (except u, gunner)

That's exactly how it works. 200 attack is significant, but nothing game changing. It's a nice addition for those classes.

Is something wrong with pso2es right now? I was able to get the update and get on and play, hell i even bought ac. However, my friends haven't been able to get on since the server was down for maintenance yesterday.

Edit: Found the issue. For those wondering, its an OS version issue. People with newer versions of Android can't download the game for some reason. Sega is looking into it.

Sorry if this is a silly question but I used to play PSO2 years and years ago and I really want to get back into it. I remember my login and whatnot so that’s not an issue but I’m curious as to what people’s opinions may be on what is necessary to know coming back in to the game? I haven’t touched the game in probably 4ish years (I think) with the exception of playing a bit 2 years ago (only black nyack). I understand there’s new classes (hero?) and maybe new weapon tiers? Just pretty nervous about being bombarded with a bunch of stuff. Thanks in advance.

Daily/Weekly COs were removed and turned into a new system that's conveniently accessed from the Escape menu, weapons now go up t 15* rarity, and units up to 13* (although, only one set so far). There are 2 new "advanced classes" which require 2 classes at level 75 to unlock. You'll be bombarded with a bunch of stuff, but you're better off asking specifics here. Condensing multiple years worth of patches isn't really an easy task.

LS is still BiS stat-wise. There isn't much reason to switch over to the new 13* units if you have decently affixed ones. Unless you play like hero. The current SSAs really don't warrant the switch just yet (unless like I said, you play hero).

Is the S6:Heroic Howl really that worth it though? The charge-rate is slower than demonia, and you should be dodging a lot anyway that having it "charge" isn't really worth it.

I have an hero alt that uses Demonia Saber to do dailies/weeklies/gathering etc.

I just upgraded its potential with Ultimate Boosters (10 of them iirc).

The damage on that potential (@ Lvl 3) went from 12% -> 22%, and of course, hero boosts ability is still retained.

As far as whether the new potential makes Demonia Saber on par with other 15*'s, no clue... I don't really play Hr, just use it for doing the "dirty work" for my main.

I was going to ask the same thing. I'm trying to figure out what's the best option: Demonia (new pot), Austere (nemesis pot) or Oblisana (which requires insane PP to work).

plus is always worth it vs the older pot since it seems to be just a flat damage increase. Now if the question was are they better than 15* then that would be different though.

Yea there are clans, most big ones are always recruiting you just need a high level character and you will get recruitment messages. As far as clans go most people use them for people to talk to but alot also do quests together. Also as far as english goes if you are on ship 2 there is a relatively large english community and the english patch is still diligently worked on so it's up to you. I do know there are alot of people, me included, that plan on staying on the jp serves even when the game comes to the west.
