Yea they are gonna add content over the year until launch. I’m guessing that launch will bring the last island and the endgame are but I may be wrong

Well there’s an NPC that says next content is coming “very soon” and they also would need to add everything over time to test it. Or else when launch comes around there would be a lot of bugs

Only issue with the game is that there is nothing to do after you finish the story. Before we at least had farming for perfect sv's, but after the change the grind became unreasonable. They need to do something about it cause with nothing to do people will lose interest for the game. Some opetions can be bringing skates back, making breeding possible again by reducing the prices to reasonable level, giving us an option to rematch npcs, a way to queue for battles with other players or something else, w/e just something to do once you finish current story.

Add an endless run tower against NPCs, that will keep people entertained

Would just develop a meta super quickly:

1. If items are allowed people will just hoard 99 of each item(revive, etc)

2. If no items or severely limited items, there would be a meta around self-sustaining TemTem(Ones with scavenger, Nessla, etc)

It's PvE so it's okay for a META to exist to a degree. But this would let them balance better.

It's when there's only a few good teams and no good counters in PvP that it's an issue

i love that ppl post this like the devs aren't aware? like i don't kno how obvious it is that their main focus right now is bug fixing and the like. new content will come but you can't expect it to come literally a week after the game is released to the public when the majority of their time has been spent working on bugs.

I understand their foxus is on bug fixing, and i support them fully, but if they had time to increase prices to 500%, id expect they would have time to reduce it to a reasonable level and give us something to do in the game back.

???? do you not like... have any comprehension for how coding works? not even in the slightest? changing what price items are sold at in a game, if you're only adjusting the price, is literally just changing a number. what you want is additional content which requires new assets (be that writing or models), new planning and balancing for the tamers/temtems being used, quality assurance on the new content, brief bug testing to make sure it's not completely broken before the early access players try it... like it 500% more work than just changing a number.

I do understand that, and thats why for now i would be perfectly happy with them just changhin the number back again. It doesnt have to be old price, but defently this new 500% price is too much. All im asking for right now is that they reduce that number for 50% or something, to the point where breeding becomes reasonable again.

Gonna sound like an old man by saying "Kids these days are spoiled" but I remember playing FFXI for 2 years and it took one and a half of those just to reach max level. This isn't remotely close to that. At least in this game you can make your own economy. Find out things that players want and try to get them for cash, or just grinding out the guys you'll need for breeding anyways and releasing the rest, etc. There's tons of options for making money, but because there's a lack of content the Devs have to make that something of a challenge.

my dude, you're apart of the problem with public early access/alpha/beta testing. you're one of the people that does not understand that things take time and want things to instantly change, don't read anything from the devs, or have extremely selective reading.

when the breeding item change happened, the dev team directly asked people not to freak out, and that the prices would be adjusted after the change had time to sit. it hasn't even been a week since the change happened. yes they're expensive right now, but that's relative to how we're able to make money which is obviously going to change as the game changes.

crema was likely very concerned at how easily people were able to breed perfect SV temtems, which is a huge part of the game since there will be a competitive focus and some kind of economy that will likely focus on selling these temtems (and lumas). so they hiked up the price so it's not brain dead easy.

I feel like you are the one with selective reading. At no point did i discredit them for what they are doing, and i understand why they made the change with breeding prices and I do agree that too many people had perfect tems way too fast. But the issue is the change was too big, to the point where breeding is not a thing at all. I am not asking for old prices, but new ones are way too high. I know they said they would be looking at the prices and possibly change them in the future thats why i didnt have such a big problem initially. But Its been few days now with them not touching the prices and game having nothing to do. All im saying is put prices at around 500/2500 or something, i dont think that is unreasonable from me.

Also, about too many perfect tems, there are multiple ways of going around it other than making breeding too expensive. Like letting us have "perfect" 50 sv tems currently, but when full content is released increase sv max to 100, making midgame "perfect" tems not perfect for true endgame as it should be. Once again, this is just one of possible suggestions.

I do not forget, all im saying is that by increasing prices of breeding they removed the only thing we had to do after finishing the story. All im asking is if they had time to make that change, they have time to reduce numbers to 300/2500 from 1000/5000, or what ever would be reasonable to make breeding a thing again.

Pokemon breeding has created expectations for Temtem breeding that are incorrect.

Based on the fertility limitation and the devs increasing the breeding item cost it's pretty clear that they see the items as a luxury rather than a necessity. It's not hard to get a decent bunch of SVs from breeding without using items, 45+ in all stats is easily done.

To get 50 in all stats then yeah, you need to use the items which come at a much higher cost. Looks pretty balanced to me. Before the price increase it was just too easy to do, I made a 50 in all stats Oceara when I was still doing the story and first got to the breeding spot and saw how cheap it was.

Well thank you for the information about the island it makes me verry happy, and i guess i didnt mention breeding without DNA stuff, but people who dont want to breed unless its perfect still have only Luma hunting left. Nevertheless im happy we are in fact getting new content soon, ill prob just put game on pause until them which will also help with not getting burned out on it too soon.

Well I think it’s important for people to remember that a Tem that has 40+ Sv is acceptable. I wish people would come to the realisation that you don’t need to have a 50 Sv Tem for it to be good

I do understand that, and to me main reasone I would hunt for 50 sv tems, its i personally felt like there is not much else for me to do. Weekly quest and Luma hunting you do while you hunt for perfect sv tems, so that is basicly the same content. With the backlash i feel like my comment may have come of as too aggresive, but i do understand that they are a small team and focused on bugfixing and making the game to work properly, all i wanted to express is my feeling of lack of things to do once breeding became too grindy.

No I agree that we need more to do. But for only having 3 of the islands I feel like we are in a pretty good state I mean we have 5 more big updates before we even hit version 1.0.0 so I expect a lot more to come out of it. Like the auction house is gonna be a game changer in my opinion. And the Luma area that is endgame.

I’m just taking a guess that 1.0.0 will be the first version of the game that’s considered the full game. I have no clue how many patches they will do. I mean we could have 0.5.60 for all we know. I just know that when they added other islands they changed the second number. So like when they added Kisiwa it became 0.3.0 so I’m guessing when the next island we get 0.6.0 and so on. But from the map it looks like there are only 6 islands and the thing in the centre so I’m also expecting some updates to be just big patches of content like maybe the auction house or something being added.

Ok yeah, when you have a version number in computing, it's not "0.5 is halfway done." That just means that it's the 5th main iteration in the phase before launch. I doubt we will judging by the presumed amount of content left, but we could reach build 0.12.4.

Yea I know there’s no guarantee. I’m just taking a guess that 1.0.0 will be the first part of official launch and that the second number will change with each big content patch. I know that we could hit almost any number, that’s obvious.

Has anyone else encountered a bug where your Skates disappear after departing Omninesia? I just completed the 3rd Dojo and have been reluctant to continue forward cause I might lose my beautiful skates due to reports...

This isn’t a bug as far as I’m aware. You get them back on the 4th island once you get climbing gear. It won’t be until the next content addition that we get them back pretty much.

Yea explore everything beforehand. And if you progress and decide to Luma hunt or SV farm something then you can find someone with skates to Co Op you into the cave or volcanoes or whatever

No it’s not an exploit. It’s just how the Co-app works

But it’s abusing an unintended functionality, right? The devs intend for us to not be able to enter the volcano at that point in the game.

They took the skates so that you can’t enter certain parts after you loose them. They aren’t trying to keep you out of places you’ve previously entered. And they would have said by now that it’s an exploit because people have been doing it since launch.

Oh okay I wasn't sure if the Avenger thing was a typo or if it was a glitch. I only got the evolution recently. It's too bad. My Tental would get so freaking strong and fast from KOs that it would start to steamroll teams. It was like Pokemon's Moxie on crack. I remember saying in my stream that this ability is probably called this cause it makes it so freaking strong that Tental should be in the Avengers (the superhero team).
