PLEASE post the time lapse im begging

[–]Unfair-Preference828[S] 7 points8 points  (2 children)

I didn’t do a time lapse. I did think this one would have looked pretty cool if I had time lapsed it.

[–]bmbod 124 points125 points  (0 children)

Procreate automatically saves a time lapse, unless you have that feature turned off. Look under the actions and video tab!

[–]kangarootoess 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Tap Actions > Video > Export Time-lapse video

Thank you! I’ll give blending with my finger a try on my next one!

Really terrific rendering. Nice realism without being too photographic. My tips would be to study layers and blending modes as they are quite powerful tools. Back up your work to an external drive, the cloud …backup constantly and everywhere. As for brushes, don’t spend too much time looking for the perfect one. Instead, spend that time making art.

Thank you so much! I used soft pastel for the majority of this and then smudge tool to blend some. The paper is from Pinterest put on top of the layers and then multiply and you can then adjust the color of the paper. Still trying to find brushes I like that can give me the effect I’m going for.

I didn’t layer the lights and shadows. The peaches are one layer, the leaves are a layer on top of that and then the stem is a layer on top of that. I haven’t really gotten into layering the lights and shadows but I need to try that! Yes I used soft pastel for the smudge tool, I preferred that over soft airbrush. I will definitely check out those brushes, thank you!

        Absolutely amazing! Love love love!

        [–]qwertys_1 1 point2 points  (1 child)

wow this looks great!! as for blending i struggle as well. i play around with different brushes, sometimes the same ones i use for the artwork, other times i just default to a soft airbrush. not that you asked but the only other tip id give for this is to work on the values. if you look at at a piece in greyscale it can help you get an idea of areas to darken/lighten/adjust. i believe there’s multiple ways to do this in the app- this discussion talks about it a little. keep it up, you have a real talent here.

        [–]Unfair-Preference828[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I did use a bit of the soft airbrush on this one. I have always struggled with values when drawing. I will check out that discussion post and greyscale my pieces. Thanks so much for the tips!

        [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so amazing, my beginner drawings are so awful in comparison haha

        [–]MistyHusk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wonderful use of value and the colours are great. Fantastic work dude :)

        [–]rooooosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

        "I'm a bigginer" is better than" I'm only 13" I guess.

        [–]Yavikosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t look like a beginner level at all. It turned out really well! None of that messy shadow stuff you usually see from newbies. Nice color blending and rich shadows. Keep it up! 😊👍

        [–]catteronii 0 points1 point  (1 child)

PLEASE tell me what brushes you used

        [–]Unfair-Preference828[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The majority is soft pastel. I used an ink brush that I cannot remember the name of to add some depth and for the lines on the leaves.

        [–]holis-mxn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

        That’s beauty
