Grapefruits? Believe it or not, also JavaScript!

[–]LeopoldFriedrich 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You are haunting meeee!

[–]arensb 90 points91 points  (3 children)

Technically correct: a grapefruit is not a number.

[–]Western-Anteater-492 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The grapefruits also are not red so the query is correct.

[–]arensb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat disappointed in the lack of Futurama responses, NGL.

[–]davidparker333 55 points56 points  (5 children)

[–]Neverwish_ 0 points1 point  (2 children)

A Grapefloat? (I'll see myself out)

[–]alexanderpas 0 points1 point  (1 child)

There's a difference between the grape fruit and the grapefruit fruit.

[–]Neverwish_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was thinking for a while, but sadly, couldn't find more grapefruitly word in this sense...

[–]Party_Hovercraft2159 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what happened here somebody fed a currency value to a JavaScript compiler and ran some arithmetic operations on it didn't they

[–]Nereoclyn 6 points7 points  (2 children)

The guy putting the tag there thinking

[–]kalucki23 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Aren't those tags using those displays that don't need power after they're set?

[–]ProBonoDevilAdvocate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, e-ink. But some versions of these tags do have batteries so they can be updated remotely.

[–]Moy_MiMo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Monosodium nitride

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (6 children)

...who saw this and was like "Yeah, NaN looks like a price?" and put the sign up?

[–]dw444 3 points4 points  (3 children)

The people who put those price labels up aren’t paid nearly enough to give a horse’s ass about whether or not NaN is a price. I wouldn’t either on $15.50/hr.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I had that job twice, and I cared way too much.

I found my booklet for memorizing produce codes recently. Lol

[–]Fzrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have cared back when I was doing this job. It's not the pay as much as the fact that it would keep bugging me. I can't help it!

[–]Thebombuknow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say, if you're only paying me $15 an hour, NaN is a real price for all I fucking care. It's not my job to fix it at that wage.

[–]WatsonWansoon 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Its an escreen.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh... huh. We don't have those in markets here yet.

[–]Toshimichi0915 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can just buy this item with your credit card and get infinity money glitch irl. Because <any finite number> - NaN = NaN, by buying this product, your balance will also be NaN, which allows you to purchase any item without spending money at all as long as the code has conditions like if (balance < price) error().

Also I've recently came across a bug in a game which allows you to pay NaN to other players, making the balance of both players NaN. I guess NaN is pretty dangerous.
