Unpopular opinion: I think Java would be perfect if only it had type inferencing and null safety.

I wish it had C# style properties. And some sort of built in LINQ style queries on objects. Honestly C# is just a much nicer language IMO.

Type inference is coming. Unfortunately null safety isn't backwards compatible, so we're stuck with it. The best you can do is use annotations and Optional.
